This sad incident happened sometime ago in a country called nigerian in west Africa. This pathetic incident kept many citizens especially well meaning ones in shock and disbelief. We never expected such from the security personnel called the "police", who had sworn to protect life's and properties but turns and be the exact set of  people now taking life's.
 
I call this a POLICE PANDEMIC because it has eaten deep too much and they all don't know how to just put an end to it. Just as I dislike racism, this writings point outs similar experience other people of color has experience. 

It's a world where there's no right for a peaceful protest against bad and evil governments anymore. Most countries in African especially are experiencing a revolutionary phase, a phase that would benefit everyone and make a nation become great again, but as usual the bad eggs amongst is called the politician won't ever allow that revolution to take place. What a slavery mentality.

Now back to the experience I witness, this happened in a state called lagos state where youths and old came together to say enough is enough, venturing their anger towards the government because of the hike of goods, transportation and bad leadership, the country was fast sinking into the ground. We all came out to voice out for a better Nigeria and a change in electoral reform, to our surprise we we're met with tear gas, pressure tanks of water for repelling protesters, and shocking of them all was we we're fired upon.
 
Some protesters we're holding the Nigeria flag stain with their blood and sweat screaming "we're also a citizen and we have a right to protest" well many lost their lives, some we're badly injured because of the merciless beating both the so called policemen and security operatives. 

I began to wonder, why were  we been attacked and beaten like we were thief's?? Upon holding the country flag so high they were not compassionate. Then I knew we as a country is long gone.

But I won't give  up on my country never! We will be great. 
I do believe before all security personnel are been trained both mentally, psychologically and socially. Why are they now behaving like  we the rest citizens are animals? Even at that,  animals just can't be hurt upon seeing them, when they haven't attacked their victim. So why are we treated like that??. 
So many drug abuser and smokers in the security department are given weapons to handle, why won't there be many cases of accidental discharge. 

Many  indeed has lost hope for the country, I will be truthful about it. The way the anger purrs out on innocent youth, for a fact now, a young man below 25years riding an expensive car will be automatically tagged a scammer, or a fraudster because of how they have painted the youth image to be naturally poor. Other countries in Asia doesn't behave like this. They make sure the system is working and favorable to every citizens.

I honestly think most security personnel lacks orientation in relating with fellow citizens, they see everyone has an enemy, it becomes worse if you ain't the same tribe or ethnicity as them. 
Giving a policeman with anger issues a rifle without a proper orientation and mental test is highly deadly or dangerous, he can discharge at any slightest misunderstanding. Weapon shouldn't be given to who isn't really ready to handle one. But of course everything about Nigerians is intimidation and harassment.
 
God bless the republic of Nigeria.
