Today's service was awesome and full of energy. Aside from the wonderful drama rendition by the drama team - First class visual, my best part of the service was the pastor's message. I learnt a lot from it and

Before I share what I learnt and how I plan to apply them in my daily activities. Let me tell you how my day started. Happy, right?

Photo: Picture of @starstrings01 and I while in church

My day started around 5:30am. @starstrings01 and I woke up really late as we were supposed to meet up with the choir sound check time around 6:30am. We had to rush down and barely got to church around 6:40am. The choir had a sound check before the worker's meeting around 7am. Then, Service began at 8am. The service went on and on with praise and worship sessions, prayer and others. My Pastor, Rev. Wale Akinronbi came up the pulpit around 10am and shared this wonderful and live changing topic.

# THE POWER OF DECISIONS

Decisions, they say, are like small gods. They either make us or mar us. This important fact is more reason why we need to carefully make decisions. Most times, the decisions we make can also affect people around us. Decisions are very powerful but inevitable. We cannot do without it. They are a vital part of a daily activities.

# FACTS ABOUT DECISIONS

- Decision making is critical to making impact in life.

- Success and failure are birth from our decisions.

- Decisions in life cannot be fulfilled without corresponding actions.

- Decisions can determine one's character, lifestyle and purpose.

> "It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped" - Tony Robbbins

# FACTORS THAT INFLUENCES OUR DECISIONS

There are various factors responsible for influencing our decisions. These factors if not clearly understood can be misused and undermined.
Some of these factors are:
- Association: As the popular saying goes ***" Show me your friends and I can predict your destination in life"***. The kind of people we listen to and keep company can influence our decisions. So, it's important to mix up with the right crowd, engage with purpose driven friends and clearly define relationships per time.

- Exposure to the right knowledge: Knowledge has always been a distinguishing factor in life. I remember my High school teacher will always say ***" What you don't know is your Elder brother"*** . Those words always haunt me every time I relent and has fueled my hunger to know more.
Always seek the right knowledge by getting information from the right source. In our world today, where we have lots of information available at our fingertips, it's important we search for the right information per time.

- Have the right mindset: The mind is like a well filled with lots of thoughts, resources and wants. It's a very important part of a man's critical thinking. Your mindset about a particular thing or event can really affect your decisions.
Imagine believing that you can never make impact in life. This belief already blocks your power of imagination and closes your eyes to every good opportunity to impact lives.

> "Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life".

# HOW TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS

- Making the right decisions means you taking that next move, carefully counting the cost before taking that next step.

- It involves you understanding that success or failure are both in your hands and your choices will determine your lot.

- Seek professional advise from mentors or experienced people.

- Be accountable and always take note of steps taken so you can evaluate what works for you.

> "If you have a decision to make, list down the pain points of doing it and the pleasures of doing it". - Romuald Andrade

## Finally...
> “You can't make decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen.”
― Michelle Obama
