##### 📍📍 A fictitious transfer of interesting statistics of the world to the Steemit community members 📍📍

Inspired by the idea of "If the World Were a Village of 100", assuming that the Steemit community consists of a multicoloured bunch of globally mixed members, I want playfully transfer some statistics of the current world population (7600 million people) to the community.
Even with the first statistics analysis, it becomes clear that this approach can be ***fictive*** only, since merely 47% of the population worldwide have the opportunity to use internet access, whereas Steemit's share is likely to be at 100% ...
#### Percentage Calculation for Beginners
Before I start just remember what "percent" means. One percent is a hundredth part of a basic value. To get a percentage value we multiply the percentage by the base value and divide the product by 100.
###### 7600 million people x 47 / 100 = 3572 million people with internet access worldwide.

I do not want to work with such numbers since far too many interpretations are necessary, which in my opinion often influence my personal handling of statistics negatively.
So I reduce the basic value to 100, since 100 is the easiest way to juggle with percentages. So if only 100 people lived in the world, 47 of them could enjoy being online (100 x 47 /1 00 = 47).
And this is how the ***game*** works: From now on we assume that there currently are one hundred Steemit members and these 100 feature a mirror of the world population.
### The World of 100 Steemians
* There are 50 female and 50 male Steemians.
* 26 Steemians are younger than 15, 8 are more than 64 years old.
* 59 Steemians are Asians, 10 Europeans, 4 are US-Americans.
* 1 Steemian lives in Germany.
* The German Steemian can talk to someone who also speaks German or understands as a second language every two days.
* 17 Steemians speak Chinese, at least 7 English.
* 90 Steemians have brown eyes, only 2 are blond by nature.
* There are 31 Christians, 24 Muslims and 1 Jew.
* 1 Steemian has a college degree, 10 can neither read nor write.
* 31 Steemians are overweight to obese, 11 are malnourished, one person starves every third day.
* 7 people have no access to clean drinking water.
* Each year 7 people die by violent crime, 4 caused by HIV.
* 6 people own 59% of the total capital, 74 people share 39% and for the poorest 20 people 2% of world wealth remain.
