# Purse Zap Will Allow To Create Invoices Of Lightning Network Through Sms

Jack Mallers, developer of Zap, an open source portfolio for Lightning Network (LN), announced on June 15 in his Twitter account a set of updates and new features to give functionality to this application.

Mallers said that now you can configure and customize various functions, including Zap Desktop, Zap mobile on iOS and a widget named Lightning iMessage, which he described in a thread of tweets published last Friday.

Among the improvements that Zap will show, it highlights a new feature called Zap Connect. This feature authorizes, using a QR code, that a node accepts incoming connections from other devices, such as a cell phone. That is, the user can have an LN node in their phone  (through Zap mobile, which will be launched for iOS devices) or connect to any node remotely, using the QR code.

Another new feature is the creation of the  "Zap LN iMessage" widget . Through this utility, you can create a Lightning Network invoice in a text message and the recipient can pay instantly and without cost , simply by clicking on it.

Mallers promised that soon he will upload a beta version  of Zap with the new features in the app store (App Store) and guaranteed that it will also be open source and free. It should be noted that the launch of Zap in its beta version occurred in January of this year, with the goal of establishing a "connection between the technical protocol of Lightning Network and the billions of potential users," said Mallers.

Zap is a bitcoin wallet  created to facilitate the use of the LN protocol by all types of users, including those without technical knowledge. In this context, the decentralized network Lightning Network  allows sending and receiving micropayments, through payment channels  that operate outside the block chain, with the purpose of achieving that the transactions take place instantaneously and without high commissions.

It should be noted that in parallel, other developers work on applications for the LN network. Such is the case of Rawtx , which is defined as a mobile wallet application for the Bitcoin Lightning Network. Last week the launch of the iOS version of this wallet was announced.
