## Anyone that makes and trust the idols will be like them that have ears and cannot hear and eyes but cannot see.

First of all, there's a wide difference between hearing and listening. It's possible for someone to perceive words with that physical ears without any intention to understand and make use of those words. He only hears, but it has no impact.

Listening is far deeper from hearing. When you listen, you give your full attention. You desire to engage your mind with full attention, in order to absorb the message being passed.

Reasons they do not listen to the word of God
Psalm 115 vs 4:8

4. But their idols are silver and gold,
    made by human hands.
5.They have mouths, but cannot speak,
    eyes, but cannot see.
6. They have ears, but cannot hear,
    noses, but cannot smell.
7. They have hands, but cannot feel,
    feet, but cannot walk,
    nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
8. Those who make them will be like them,
    and so will all who trust in them.

Those who has all the sense organs and doesn't listen to the word are like idols. Those who make these idols worship them. They worship what cannot speak, feel, touch, see, think, smell nor walk. So this means they are like those idols.


Act 17:29 says


***For as much as we are the offsprings of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold or silver, or stones graven art and man's device.***


It's totally ungodly to see divinity in idols, because Godshead cannot be compared to it.. Anyone who make or believe in these idols are just like them. They can't hear, neither can the speak, handle, walk nor see. 


Another reason as stated by bro Eli Soraino is that they have been blinded by Satan. Let's see what the scripture say concerning this

II Corinthians 4:4

***The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.***


They cannot see the light of the gospel because the devil has blinded them from seeing, and listening to the truth. They are blind and cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ.

Anyone that doesn't believe in Christ is automatically blinded by Satan, so that's why they do not listen to the word of God eventhough the hear it.
