In summer it is more pleasant to taste a good dessert comfortably seated inside the bar, air conditioning at a minimum, and a pleasant sensation of those who feel pampered. The Code Cafè has been a family-run bar for over ten years and they serve delicious breakfasts every day from the early hours of the morning, with soft brioches and croissants with classic cream, chocolate and jam flavors.   ___ Every morning at 6 am the door of the Code bar opens to welcome the first customers who, for work or sporting reasons, are already eager for a good breakfast. The pastry department is characterized by small and delicious single-portion sweets, ideal for example for a snack and combined with a hot drink such as coffee or tea. Due to the high temperatures these days, I ordered a cold coffee, served with ice, already sweetened during preparation.    ___ I also requested a coconut candy which, in addition to being one of my favorite flavors, also amazed me for its composition and decoration with coconut flour on the surface, small traces of striped chocolate and a round base of biscuit, on which put down the coconut ball. The dessert, in addition to being incredibly good, is also very soft and easily eaten with a small fork ad hoc. Really sublime flavors, the taste of coconut is less intense than I thought but it was made with intelligence because coconut, although very good, in excessive quantities becomes a bit nauseating. in this case, however, the dosage is perfect and balanced.   ___ The inside of the Code bar is not very big, in reality there are just 3 tables and 6 chairs but the environment is really very relaxing, welcoming, familiar. Vincenzo often prepares cakes in a show cooking style, behind transparent glass and loves to tell a little about the recipe, describe each step until it is baked. I would like to somehow capture the scents and be able to send them to you through this post, I guarantee you that happiness and gluttony are the predominant feelings. Several times, precisely in these periods, after a morning at sea, I had lunch here comfortably seated at the outdoor tables, located on the square in front of the bar. However, if the day is particularly hot, I prefer the indoor room as it is air-conditioned and well furnished. For example, there is a showcase with some coffee machines from a few decades ago, finds that are precious objects for those who really love coffee and know its history.   ___ Aperitifs usually consist of platters of cold cuts and cheeses and will tickle like focaccia, pizza and stuffed sandwiches. I trust you that focaccia is an art here, usually handed down from mother to child and every recipe, although it may seem simple, has its own personal touch and Vincenzo's focaccia is soft and soft and goes well with cold cuts and cheeses. The cost is very affordable: cold coffee and sweets for a total of 3 euros. The aperitif I mentioned to you instead, accompanied by an alcoholic cocktail, costs an average of 10 euros and I guarantee you that it is enough for your lunch. The kindness of the staff and Vincenzo's stories deserve a special vote! Bar Code is among the best bars in the city awarded by TripAdvisor!
