Normally, in fact, cards with ranged attack if used in first position are not able to launch attacks, so the monster is normally knocked down by the opponents. The rulset **Close Range** instead overturns this rule and allows players to invent new game strategies.

In my battle, which you find below, I decided to deploy *WAR PEGASUS*, a rare hero of the life element, with a ranged attack that causes 3 damage points, but in second position. In fact, I was quite convinced that he would enter the first position in a short time but the new soulbound hero ** IZIAR ** is really very strong and has attracted the opponents' attacks since the end, even if deployed in the last position.

The @splinterlands contests are not only meant to get us generous upvotes but above all to help us discover new cards that can be very useful in our battles and stimulate us to new strategies and more options in battle.

The low card prices, also caused by the large number of prints and availability of Chaos Legion cards, are a great entry point for new players. In fact, it is possible to build an excellent deck of cards by spending little, compared to the cards of previous editions. It will also be interesting to observe the upcoming airdrops of CL cards in order to better determine which Summoner to upgrade and consequently which cards to buy on the market!

Furthermore, the strategy that each player sets himself can undergo natural variations, in order to improve his deck of cards and climb the ranking of the best players, also obtaining higher rewards!

Trovare nuove strategie in battaglia è sempre una sfida eccitante, il gioco offre molti spunti per trovare nuovi sistemi di organizzazione delle proprie battaglie attraverso i rulset, regole obbligatorie che ciclicamente caratterizzano le battaglie stesse. Il rulset contest è **Close Range** e consente di utilizzare carte con attacco ranged anche in prima posizione.

Di norma, infatti, le carte con attacco ranged se utilizzate in prima posizione non sono in grado di lanciare attacchi, per cui il mostro è normalmente abbattuto dagli avversari. Il rulset **Close Range** invece stravolge questa regola e consente ai giocatori d'inventare nuove strategie di gioco. 

Nella mia battaglia, che trovate in basso, ho deciso di schierare *WAR PEGASUS*, eroe raro dell'elemento life, con attacco ranged che causa ben 3 punti danno, ma in seconda posizione. Ero, infatti, abbastanza convinto che entrasse entro breve tempo in prima posizione ma il nuovo eroe soulbound **IZIAR** è davvero molto forte e ha attratto gli attacchi avversari sin alla fine, seppure schierato in ultima posizione.

Ma sono certo che, anche in prima posizione, WAR PEGASUS avrebbe comunque regalato ottime prestazioni ed una potenza d'attacco importante e risolutiva per l'esito della battaglia.

### Conclusione

I contest di @splinterlands non hanno solo lo scopo di farci ottenere generosi upvotes ma sono soprattutto di aiutarci a scoprire nuove carte che possono essere davvero molto utili nelle nostre battaglie e stimolarci a nuove strategie e più opzioni in battaglia.

I prezzi bassi delle carte, causati anche dal gran numero di stampe e disponibilità delle carte di Chaos Legion, sono un ottimo punto di ingresso per i nuovi giocatori. Infatti è possibile costruire un ottimo mazzo di carte spendendo poco, rispetto alle carte delle precedenti edizioni. Sarà anche interessante osservare i prossimi airdrops delle carte CL in modo da determinare meglio quale Evocatore potenziare e di conseguenza le carte da acquistare sul mercato!

Inoltre, la strategia che ogni giocatore si imposta, può subire variazioni naturali, in modo da migliorare il proprio mazzo di carte e scalare la classifica dei migliori giocatori, ottenendo anche ricompense più elevate!
