Hi fellow Hiveians, Today I wanted to share a few photos in black and white from the beach trip I took the other day with my son!  <center></center> # Seaside Monochrome Monday The ocean is for sure a great place to hang out and spend time! One of the things that I know I am lucky to do is be able to spend a fair bit of time by the ocean. There are lots of people who never see the ocean in their lifetimes which is pretty crazy and sad to think about. This is not really something that I think I can do without! It would be great to live in a really affordable area.. but those are usually 10 or more hours away from the ocean and that just don't fly with me hahaha. I certainly wouldn't mind being a bit further away from the ocean, because it's not THAT important, but being within driving distance is a good thing in that if I wanted to, I could take my son to the beach for a few hours without having to drive crazy distances or amounts of time to get there.  This particular stretch of beach and ocean is a newer place for us, in that we found it a few years ago. It's a really nice stretch and it's got some beautiful trails and areas of which I never knew existed, but my son has spent a fair bit of time exploring it on the journeys he's been on! What amazes me when I'm here is the view. I love the combination of rocky shoreline with trees and shrubs all around. It really makes the environment quite special if you ask me! I know that sandy beaches are cool to relax on and stuff, but for me it's the rocks that's what piques my interest way more. I love the sound of the waves as they crash on the rocks and roll off, the sound is way cooler I think! As well with the rocks, there is a lot of cool shit that ends up washing up on the shore. Normal stuff like broken glass that turns into sea glass, but other random things. A lot of the times we bring a trash bag with us so we can pick up some of the garbage and dispose of it properly!  When we were there though, it was pretty hot! I think this was a really awesome spot that my son found and we took a little break in the shade. It doesn't hurt to have such a cool view, it's almost like nature's window to the shoreline there LOL As with any of the Monochrome series of pictures and posts, I think I am at a toss up with which is my favorite. The rocky corner was nice but I think looking at the tree-window thing was really the special one to see in black and white.
