Today I wanted to enjoy the beauty of a walk in the freshly fallen snow!

# Snowy Trail Walk

We haven't gotten a whole lot of snow around here yet this year, though it seems we may be in store for some coming up soon with the weather finally staying at or below freezing particularly at night. This helps to chill the ground enough to ensure that any snowfall that does arrive, sticks to the ground. With the thus-far mild winter we're having, I didn't think that I'd be wishing for snow! Saying it now, we will get dumped on for the end of January and February now lol.

The trail that I was on here was a bit of an adventure by myself. The little man was doing his thing at the place I bring him to and so I decided that it was a great time to get out for a bit of a walk on my own. I love having the little man with me for these but I also need to get some real exercise! I used this opportunity to get some for sure lol.

The area here was quite remarkable to spend some time in for the small snow storm we got! The trees looked so cool laden with freshly fallen snow and it was just about wrapping up the storm when I got there so it was good timing as well, though might have been a little bit cooler to have the snow still falling. What I find amazing about my work phone here though is the quality of the pictures it takes even at night! This picture almost looks like it was taken during the day lol it's nuts. 

This was with an iPhone 12 I think it is, not even the brand new 14's. I'm hopefully going to upgrade my old iPhone 7 to a 14 sometime soon so I'll be able to take as many of these photos as I want, with potentially a better camera to boot! I can't imagine better pictures than this lol but I know it will likely take them.

The river here is my absolute favorite spot though. It comes out so cool during other pictures but here in the snow it looks remarkable! It feels like it's somewhere far away in Alaska or something lol when it's not at all there. I'll plan on getting to some of the other bends in the river in my next outing in this area when it snows, this one here was actually a nice one as it was easy to get to. The other ones are to the right, further down river but are a little trickier to get to which is good with me. 

I love seeing the various things in and around the river loaded up with some beautiful snow, like the tree hanging there in the water towards the middle of the picture. I'd love to try our new DSLR camera but for that I'd likely need it to be daylight since I don't know exactly how to take a similar picture in the evening when it's dark just yet. One day!

The winding around the corner here was nice, it was a little loop and led me back to where I came from. I knew where I was in the area as the little man and I explored this area a couple times before but it was good not to have to make all kinds of twists and turns to get back to where I needed to be in decent time. I get about 30 minutes or so to go on these little walks so I'll be taking more of them in the coming weeks! We are slowly starting to gain more daylight during the day which is great, inching ever so slowly to my prime time, which is daylight after work! Lol
