I have a common name; a feminine one. But I prefer to be called “Pat”. Still a common nickname that people would wonder for a second if it is a guy or a woman’s name right? Thank God that I appear younger than 28 years old. I guess age is really just a number at all. I was born and raised in Makati City, Philippines. Yes, I have been rocking this city for twenty six years and I left the country last year for career growth. Now, I am currently in South Carolina, USA.

I always answer questions about who I am by describing myself as “A city person and everything in between”. So being away from the city was a big adjustment when I arrived here in the US. Culture shock is real and I accidentally build a “new” version of myself. I am living on the east coast. I will tell you more of this story soon, I promise.

“Coach-p”
Honestly, I came up with my username, for one simple reason. It is to represent my passion and dedication for being a coach not just in skills but also in life. Crossing to different people’s paths made me realize that this diverse world we are living in has a lot to offer and I am taking my time to know more; and be more.

As a walking Extrovert, I am bursting with optimism and outgoing energy.

I love to travel, especially to the beaches or near the ocean; and it made me a good swimmer. So if I were to reincarnate as an animal, I would be a dolphin.

I am an educator and also I coach badminton, swimming and volleyball. Being a student athlete back then was crazy as it can be. So if I would give advice to my fellow student-athletes, use your free time wisely, do not dedicate it to wrong people. Thank me later.

Whenever I do what I am passionate about, my heart shines through. Strumming my guitar and writing songs, sketching and painting with watercolors; and playing sports with family and friends. I will make a separate blog of this part soon too.

Raise up your cups when I say coffee takes all the worries away. Thankful to my partner who gave me my first coffee machine, however I still enjoy entering coffee shops and being greeted by the scent of roasted coffee beans.

My grandfather taught our family the love for animals which we carry on till this day. He had a lot of dogs, hens and roosters back then. When I was little, I used to help clean the aquarium and brush the shells of his big turtles. Now, our family currently owns seven dogs (with different breeds). I once owned rabbits and hamsters; not a fan anymore because they accidentally bit me. Lol. Lastly I got my partner a Persian cat as a gift and named him Bruce.

@cthings encouraged me to use this platform to let my creativity spread and share my experiences. I’m glad that I did; it seems like I’ve found a new home. Thank you, C!
I am excited to meet new people and create a supportive community that will encourage me to keep learning and accomplish new goals. Do not hesitate to ask and reach out; I will answer it to the best of my ability.
