No hago estos post muy a menudo, pero quiero variar un poco y no enfocarme tanto en escribir sobre mis experiencias jugando algunos juegos, hace poco estuve conversando con unos compañeros de trabajo contemporaneos a mi, estabamos hablando sobre los Game Awards y la actualidad del videojuego en general, en un momento yo toco el tema de que *los Indies estan mejor que nunca* pero parecia que nadie en la sala habia jugado, o siquiera sabia que era un Indie, podran imaginarse la cara que puse despues de enterarme de esto, aunque si eran bastante abiertos y me hicieron hacer una pequeña pausa para recomendarles algunos de los mas destacados en mi opinion. 

Yo personalmente no habia estado muy pendiente de este sector del videojuego hasta el año pasado, cuando por fin pude hacer el esfuerzo de comprarme una pc decente e instalar algunos de  esos juegos que tenia en mi lista mental desde hace un tiempo, una de las caracteristicas de los juegos independientes es que son experiencias inusuales si los comparamos con el mainstream de los juegos triple A (AKA los juegos habituales que conocemos), estan creados por un equipo reducido, tanto en personal como en presupuesto lo que implica que tienen que poner en marcha una propuesta diferencial con muy pocos activos.

- # Hades

Empezamos con el juego que me es mas sencillo recomendar, aca no esperen ver a un shooter convencional o algun juego con un estilo de camara sencillo, Hades se juega en camara senital en donde encarnamos a uno de los hijos de Hades que ha decidido escapar del inframundo peleando y abriendose paso a lo largo de sus tres niveles, los personajes que se encuentra, las relaciones que establece y la constante vuelta al despacho de Hades cuando morimos son algunos de los mejores momentos de este juego, ademas de su forma de adaptar toda la mitologia Griega que van desde los Olimpicos que nos ayudan con sus poderes a escapar como los habitantes del inframundos, todos con su arco narrativo que se desarrolla cada vez que intentamos escapar.

Ademas de ser un juego frenetico, en donde hay algo siempre que golpear estoy seguro que para los mas testarudos como yo no podran estar un segundo sin probar suerte una vez mas y llegar mas lejos, es uno de esos juegos que definiria como adictivos y ciertamente es un hit merecido, ademas que de que pronto se viene una segunda parte asi que conviene jugarlo y conocer de su historia antes de que la nueva entrega salga.

- # SIFU

Aunque solo he podido probar algunas horas este juego (y fuera de mi pc, tomando notas) creo que esta claro que en el momento que pueda jugar y completar del todo SIFU se va a convertir en uno de mis Indies favoritos de todos los tiempos, su reinvencion del genero Hack'n Slash ya lo hace merecedor de una mencion en esta lista y mi recomendacion personal es jugarlo y experimentarlo sin tener ninguna pista, solo la historia inspirada en las peliculas de Jackie Chan y una jugabilidad dura pero en ningun momento injusta debe ser suficiente razon como para pasearse por los pasillos de este juego y dar algunas clases de artes marciales a las pandillas de nuestro barrio.

- # Katana Zero

Seguramente quieras una experiencia un poco mas nostalgica, algo que vaya acorde a los juegos que jugaste de pequeño con graficos pixelados, pues este juego (que he estado jugando esta semana por cierto) es uno de esos titulos que atrapan a la perfeccion toda esa magia de los juegos retro poniendo tambien su granito de arena para crear una experiencia mucho mas completa y diferencial, ya no solo tendremos la nostalgia de los graficos sino que todo el frenetismo de las misiones y la historia que se nos cuenta me han mantenido jugando y queriendo saber que pasa despues para nuestro inusual asesino a sueldo. Es un juego que toca muchos puntos y lo hace bastante bien.

- # Hollow Knight

Posiblemente el mas comentado y admirado de todos los juegos de esta lista, aunque al principio dude de si recomendarlo, creo que para los que les gusten explorar cuevas y en general irse de aventura sin saber exacatamente hacia donde vas este juego sera una experiencia muy agradable, el primer juego es una joya en muchos sentidos, desde el sistema de combate hasta como abordamos la exploracion desde distintos angulos, esta bastante bien tambien todo el lore de las criaturas que vamos conociendo en las catatumbas mientras vamos descubriendo lo que ha pasado en este sitio y el por que primeramente estamos ahi explorando, esta bastante bien ya que lo mas probable es que la mayoria de los que lo jueguen tengan algun tipo de experiencia previa con juegos de plataforma, como Mario o Rayman, por lo que no hay mucho mas que aprender aparte de algunos botones extra.

- # Loop Hero

Este sera el ultimo que este recomendando por el momento, y aunque este titulo sea un poco mas inusual y dificil de catalogar que los demas arriba en esta lista estoy seguro que para los mas interesados sera un videojuego facil de querer y aun mas facil de jugar, porque solo necesitamos el mouse y en el que somos un heroe que explora alrededor de un bucle acabando con los monstruos en su camino, el giro es que no controlamos al heroe sino todo lo que esta a su alrededor, incluyendo su equipamiento o los spawn de monstruos que pueden aparecer, este juego combina la estrategia con el rpg de una forma bastante ingeniosa y que hasta el dia de hoy aun no he completado.

Estoy seguro de que he dejado afuera de esta lista a una buena cantidad de juegos, seguramente Minecraft sea aun hoy considerado un juego indie o juegos como Celeste tambien se me pasaron por alto, pero espero que esta lista sirva para cualquier aspirante a jugar algunos de los maravillosos indies que estamos viendo en la industria de hoy, gracias por ver y los espero en el proximo post.

I don't make these posts very often, but I want to vary a bit and not focus so much on writing about my experiences playing some games, recently I was talking with some co-workers contemporary to me, we were talking about the Game Awards and the current video game news in general, at one point I touched the topic that *the Indies are better than ever* but it seemed that no one in the room had played, or even knew what an Indie was, you can imagine the face I put after learning about this, although they were quite open and made me pause a little to recommend some of the most outstanding in my opinion. 

I personally had not been very aware of this sector of the video game until last year, when I could finally make the effort to buy a decent pc and install some of those games that I had on my mental list for a while, one of the characteristics of independent games is that they are unusual experiences compared to the mainstream triple A games (AKA the usual games we know), they are created by a small team, both in staff and budget which means they have to implement a differential proposal with very few assets.

- # Hades

We start with the game that is easier for me to recommend, here do not expect to see a conventional shooter or any game with a simple camera style, Hades is played in senital camera where we play as one of the sons of Hades who has decided to escape from the underworld fighting and making his way through its three levels, the characters he encounters, the relationships he establishes and the constant return to the office of Hades when he dies, the relationships that establishes and the constant return to the office of Hades when we die are some of the best moments of this game, in addition to its way of adapting all the Greek mythology ranging from the Olympians who help us with their powers to escape as the inhabitants of the underworld, all with its narrative arc that develops every time we try to escape.

Besides being a frenetic game, where there is always something to hit I'm sure that for the most stubborn like me can not be a second without trying your luck once again and get further, is one of those games that I would define as addictive and certainly is a hit deserved, besides that soon comes a second part so it should play it and learn about its history before the new installment comes out.

- # SIFU

Although I have only been able to try a few hours this game (and out of my pc, taking notes) I think it is clear that the moment I can play and complete SIFU it will become one of my favorite Indies of all time, its reinvention of the Hack'n Slash genre already makes it worthy of a mention in this list and my personal recommendation is to play it and experience it without having any clue, just the story inspired by Jackie Chan movies and a hard but never unfair gameplay should be enough reason to walk through the corridors of this game and give some martial arts lessons to the gangs of our neighborhood.

- # Katana Zero

Surely you want an experience a little more nostalgic, something that goes according to the games you played as a child with pixelated graphics, because this game (I've been playing this week by the way) is one of those titles that perfectly capture all that magic of retro games also putting their bit to create a much more complete and differential experience, and not only will we have the nostalgia of the graphics but all the frenetic missions and the story that we have been told have kept me playing and wanting to know what happens next for our unusual hitman. It's a game that touches on many points and does it quite well.

- # Hollow Knight

Possibly the most commented and admired of all the games on this list, although at first doubt whether to recommend it, I think for those who like to explore caves and generally go on an adventure without knowing exactly where you go this game will be a very pleasant experience, the first game is a gem in many ways, from the combat system to how we approach the exploration from different angles, It's pretty good also all the lore of the creatures that we meet in the catatombs as we discover what has happened in this place and why we are there exploring in the first place, it's pretty good because most likely most of those who play it have some previous experience with platform games like Mario or Rayman, so there is not much more to learn apart from some extra buttons.

- # Loop Hero

This will be the last one I'm recommending at the moment, and although this title is a bit more unusual and difficult to categorize than the others above in this list I'm sure for those more interested it will be an easy game to like and even easier to play, because we only need the mouse and in which we are a hero exploring around a loop taking out monsters along the way, The twist is that we do not control the hero but everything around him, including his equipment or spawn monsters that may appear, this game combines strategy with the rpg in a fairly ingenious way and that to this day I have not yet completed.

I'm sure I've left out a fair amount of games from this list, surely Minecraft is even today considered an indie game or games like Celeste were also overlooked by me, but I hope this list will be useful for any aspiring players to play some of the wonderful indies we are seeing in the industry today, thanks for watching and I look forward to seeing you in the next post. .
