I love starting the month with a handful of new, free video games, especially if those games are some of the best releases of recent years. It's no surprise to anyone that, as the months go by, various video game purchasing platforms are launching these gems for us, the cash-strapped players, to collect and share.

Well, this week there are two of those gems, and I'm going to show you how to claim them.

Don't hesitate for a moment; these are video games you can claim in 5 minutes, and you could have them in your library forever. Even if I don't play them all, I always like to collect. These types of titles are given away for free in case I ever get bored and think about installing one of these.

# Limbo

A total surprise for me, but a welcome one. I'm not a big fan of horror video games, but this award-winning title is pretty good for those who like dark visuals and subliminal messages with a mysterious and captivating story.

Or at least that's what I've heard. Again, I haven't played it, and I don't plan to at the moment because I find it somewhat terrifying. But the good thing is that you can claim it for free, and for many players, this is one of those games in Where if you make any mistakes, you're killed immediately.

I remember many YouTubers playing this game back in the day, and I remember it seemed quite dark and creepy to me. I was even afraid of getting a jump scare on the screen, but I think this game uses legitimate horror and not those cheap tricks to scare us.

A good mix of platforming and horror. They basically challenge us to always keep moving forward. Now we can claim it for free. It usually costs $20, so we're adding something of good value to our library at no cost.

If I already think this game is one of Epic's gems of the year, wait until you see this next title.

# Borderlands Tiny Tina's Wonderland

Yes, this month Epic finally got involved with Borderlands, and I couldn't be more grateful for that. It's one of my favorite series, and I think the second game is one of the best shooters I played with my siblings as a kid. It simply has that mix of chaos and randomness that was sought after in shooters back then, where everything seemed to be a Call of Duty or Battlefield.

This was one of the first experiments after that fabulous second installment. They had several downloadable content packages, but this one in particular became a spin-off with new mechanics.

It's still a shooter (a pretty good one) with the parody and self-referencing tone that Borderlands has. We have new mechanics like some customizable classes, or the funniest thing is that we can now use magic instead of grenades. Also, something new I could see in its gameplay is that we can now look at the entire map and find side quests and random events.

To be An extension to the second installment, I think, pretty much justifies the possibility of playing it, although I don't know if the usual price is adequate since this game, with its features, costs $60. In other words, it's practically a new video game, even though we're talking about an extension that will probably last a couple of hours, but not much more.

I must admit that the Dungeons and Dragons approach of this game appeals to me quite a bit, and just like its graphics, which have always been a weakness for me, you can claim these two games on Epic if you have an account. Just go to the main pages of both to make a free redemption.


From there, we'll just have to install the Epic Games launcher to be able to play these games and install them on the PC. I don't think I even lasted 10 minutes doing this process the first time, so I recommend it even though the Epic Games launcher is quite slow and one of the worst. But for playing free games, I think it'll work quite well for us because they're changing every week and giving away free titles.

Cómo me encanta empezar el mes con un puñado de videojuegos nuevos gratis para mí, y mucho más si esos juegos son de algunas de las mejores entregas de los últimos años, para nadie es sorpresa que entrados estos meses a las diferentes plataformas de compra de videojuegos se les ocurre lanzar estas joyas para que nosotros los jugadores sin dinero las recojamos y las divulguemos

# Limbo

Total sorpresa para mí pero una bien recibida, no soy muy amante de los videojuegos de terror pero este título que ha ganado bastantes premios está bastante bueno para los que les gustan las visuales oscuras y los mensajes subliminales con una misteriosa y cautivante historia 

O al menos eso es lo que he escuchado, de nuevo no lo he jugado y por el momento no pienso hacerlo porque me parece algo aterrador pero lo bueno es que lo pueden reclamar gratis y para muchos jugadores este es uno de esos juegos en donde si cometes algún error te matan de inmediato

Recuerdo en su tiempo muchos youtubers jugaban este juego y recuerdo que me daba la impresión de ser bastante oscuro y tenebroso, incluso tenía miedo de que me saliera algún jumpscare en la pantalla pero creo que este juego usa terror legítimo y no esos trucos baratos para asustarnos

Buena mezcla de plataformas con horror, básicamente nos desafían a que siempre estemos moviéndonos hacia adelante y ahora podremos reclamarlo de manera gratis, usualmente suele costar $20 así que agregamos algo de buen valor a nuestra biblioteca sin costo alguno

Si este juego ya me parece que es una de las joyas que ha sacado epic en el año esperen a ver este siguiente título

# Borderlands Tiny Tina’s Wonderland 

Si, este mes en epic se han metido con borderlands al fin y yo no podría estar más agradecido con eso, es una de mis sagas favoritas y creo que el segundo juego es uno de los mejores shooters que jugué en mi infancia con mis hermanos, sencillamente tiene esa mezcla de caos y aleatoriedad que se buscaba en el Shooter en ese entonces donde todo parecía ser un call of duty o un battlefield 

Este fue uno de los primeros experimentos después de esa fabulosa segunda entrega, tuvieron varios contenidos descargables pero este en particular se convirtió en todo un spin off con mecánicas nuevas

Sigue siendo un Shooter (uno bastante bueno) con el tono de parodia y autorreferencias que tiene borderlands, tenemos nuevas mecánicas como algunas clases personalizables o lo más gracioso que ahora podemos usar magia en lugar de granadas, también algo nuevo que pude ver en su jugabilidad es que podemos ahora mirar todo el mapa y encontrar con misiones secundarias y eventos aleatorios 

Para ser una extensión de la segunda entrega creo que justifica bastante bien que lo quieran jugar, aunque no sé si el precio que normalmente tiene sea el adecuado pues este juego con lo que tiene cuesta $60, es decir es prácticamente un videojuego nuevo a pesar de que estamos hablando de una extensión que seguramente nos dure un par de horas pero poco más de eso

Debo admitir que el enfoque de mazmorras y dragones que tiene este juego me atrae bastante y así como sus gráficos que siempre me han dado en el punto débil, estos dos juegos los puedes reclamar en epic si tienes una cuenta y basta con ir a las páginas principales de los dos para hacer un canje gratis 

A partir de ahí solo tendremos que instalarnos el launcher de epic games para poder jugar estos juegos e instalarlos a la PC, creo que no duré ni 10 minutos haciendo este proceso la primera vez así que lo recomiendo aunque el launcher de epic games sea bastante lento y uno de los peores, pero para jugar juegos gratis creo que nos va a funcionar bastante bien porque todas las semanas están cambiando y dando títulos sin costo
