We have spent around 1 months to find out a good school for our daughter. But the problem is all the school which are good are super expensive. Some of teh schools are asking for more rhan Rs 2 Lakh I.e. around $2500 per year.

And thar is just the tuition fee, then there is transport, books, uniform and extra curriculum activities is extra. So now the schooling is an expensive affair. Also being a parent, you also feel a FOMO that your child is not going to a good school and thus you have to spend that much amount.

For us, we have found a school and the fees is quite high too but again the question which I ask to myself does high fees of schools are justified. Yes if the school is of international standard, having a lot of games, and extra curricular activities then it is justified. But in that also your child will not be taking up all the thing and thus you will just be paying without getting something back.

If the school just provide education, then also the tuition is not less because the education costs is increasing like anything. I remeber just 10 years back the IIM fees was just 4 lakhs and not it is more than 25 Lakhs and thus it's inflation is quite high.

The school my daughter is going is having 15% increment every year which is to be honest quite high. It's almost double the increment which we will be getting in our office that means every year I will be paying a lot of money even though I will not be earning that much. But if you ask me is it worth it, I am not sure. But I would think as an investment to my daughters better future and I am happy to pay for that.
