I stopped for coffee on the way to work this morning at, you guessed it, [Wawa](https://www.wawa.com/). I'm guessing that, while many folks are all too familiar with [Starbucks](http://www.starbucks.com/) and [Dunkin' Donuts](https://www.dunkindonuts.com/dunkindonuts/en.html), there are other more regional coffee stops in your necks of the woods. So what's your **go-to** coffee stop when you're out on the road? Here in New Jersey, Wawa is a **VERY** popular choice for coffee, tea, reasonably cheap gasoline, cigarettes, and just about anything else a typical convenience store carries. Wawa also does a very brisk sandwich business. You walk up to a self-serve kiosk, make your personalized selections, get your bakery ticket, and in a few minutes you have your lunchtime masterpiece. Here's an excerpt from [Wawa's about page](https://www.wawa.com/about.aspx): _Today, Wawa is your all day, every day stop for fresh, built-to-order foods, beverages, coffee, fuel services, and surcharge-free ATMs. A chain of **more than 645 convenience retail stores (over 365 offering gasoline), Wawa stores are located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Central Florida.** The stores offer a large fresh food service selection, including Wawa brands such as built-to-order hoagies, freshly brewed coffee, hot breakfast sandwiches, built-to-order specialty beverages, and an assortment of soups, sides and snacks._ **DISCLAIMER:** I don't work for Wawa or own any stock in the company, or have any vested interest in the company other than being a customer. By the way, I got some pretty strange looks from some of the customers when they saw me snapping all these images. All images @cognoscere, except the first one which is imgsafe.org All @cognoscere images captured with a Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS https://i.imgsafe.org/126d130c03.jpg The Wawa logo is very appropriate, considering how most of the state is overrun with Canadian Geese. See: [How did Wawa get its name? A not-so-wild goose chase](http://www.nj.com/middlesex/index.ssf/2013/11/how_did_wawa_get_its_name_a_not-so-wild_goose_chase.html) https://i.imgsafe.org/1277e839a7.jpg Wawa has a pretty large footprint for a convenience store. Part of it is due to the fact that many of the Wawa locations sell gasoline. This particular Wawa has parking for well over 50 cars. https://i.imgsafe.org/12780a8fed.jpg The Wawa gas prices are pretty good, certainly not the cheapest in the state, but they give you a good idea of what us Jerseyites are currently shelling out for gasoline. https://i.imgsafe.org/1277c9ab44.jpg https://i.imgsafe.org/1277d340ba.jpg New Jersey is one of the few states where it's illegal to pump your own gas. https://i.imgsafe.org/127826141e.jpg As you can see, Wawa has a pretty decent selection of java. https://i.imgsafe.org/12787e67f1.jpg https://i.imgsafe.org/12787c791b.jpg And cups in sizes of 12, 16, 20, and 24 ounces. I paid $1.66 USD for a 16-ounce cup this morning: 1/2 cuban and 1/2 decaf. https://i.imgsafe.org/127841eac9.jpg https://i.imgsafe.org/127864fc8e.jpg Just a touch of milk. Some say it minimizes staining of your teeth. Who knows, I think I'll continue brushing and flossing them anyways ;-) https://i.imgsafe.org/127873361e.jpg https://i.imgsafe.org/12784b8afc.jpg Of course they have donuts 😜 https://i.imgsafe.org/1278285ba4.jpg Wawa also has a selection of more healthy snacks. https://i.imgsafe.org/12783c56e4.jpg And some that, well, aren't very healthy but will do in a pinch! https://i.imgsafe.org/1278aed078.jpg https://i.imgsafe.org/12ce0af0c6.jpg Ok, now it's time to checkout and head in to work ... and have another dozen cups of coffee!!! https://i.imgsafe.org/12ce094c41.jpg
