Lets Not Forget the Tableware \o/
We sometimes forget that our silver stacking doesn't have to just consist of bars and coin rounds, and i suspect that sometimes in our quest for the next items for our stacks we can sometimes forget the items that really did coin the phrase " The Family Silver", These were items that could be used on a daily basis as well as being a show of wealth or status, and i am sure were purchased with one eye on the future and were often viewed as legacy purchases to leave to future generations. and as modern day collectors and stackers we should not overlook what is really our history, just wanted to share a couple of simple items i have gathered , namely a salt or pepper pot that is quite ornate and gothic in its style and a nice little jam spoon, both didn't cost much more than spot price, but as two little ornate pieces of history i thought they deserved a mention, and they can still be used today while retaining their value and history smiles :)
