 I’m thrilled to roll out the Hive-Engine Market Maker (HEMM) for short – a great new tool for trading, scalping, dollar cost averaging, market making, or simply adding liquidity to your favorite hive-engine token markets. Whether you’re curating SWAP.BTC, SWAP.LTC, UPME, HELIOS, LEO, or any other token, HEMM will place calculated buy and sell orders around the spread—automatically and 24/7.  # Burn HELIOS to activate hive-engine market maker bot.  # 🚀 What HEMM Does... Liquidity on Demand: HEMM cancels stale orders, then re-places new buy/sell orders at dynamic prices based on real market data. *See important note about BEED and cancelling orders at bottom of section "What does the bot actually do?" Customizable Tokens: Trade any Hive-Engine symbol (e.g. SWAP.BTC, SWAP.LTC, UPME, HELIOS, LEO etc.) by setting your preferred Hive-Engine Coin to Trade. # Granular Controls:  Coin to trade - Which Hive-Engine token you want to trade. Limit one token per bot setup. For now you need to type in the ticker exactly as it is used on Hive-Engine in CAPS. I will create a dropdown for this later but for now I just wanted to get the bot out there! Amount Coin – how much of the base token (Coin to Trade)(e.g. SWAP.BTC) to sell when it’s profitable. For instance if you don't want to sell your coin to trade token then set this to Zero, or a very low number. Amount SWAP HIVE – how much SWAP.HIVE to put into the buy side. In other words it's how much of the Coin to trade you want to buy with SWAP.HIVE. INCREASE ASK % – widen your sell price by X% above the best ask. Note default is 0 which will undercut the lowest ASK which is typical market maker mode. So in other words if you only want to sell spikes 1% above the market best ask then set this to 1 DECREASE BID % – decrease your buy price by X% below the best bid. Note Similar to above, default is 0 which will place bid one tick above the highest bid, which is for aggressive buying and is typical market maker mode. But if you would like to only buy dips, i.e. 3% below the market set it to 3 like the example above. # 🔍 How It Works Update Your Settings HEMM loads your settings for easily keeping track of your Hive-Engine Coin to trade, numeric thresholds if set, and expiry. # What exactly does the bot do? Fetches Live Data Pulls the highest bid & lowest ask from the Hive-Engine order book. Loads SWAP.HIVE and your token balances via the Token contract. Calculate Prices Buy Price = best bid × (1 – percent_DECREASE_BID/100) – 0.00001 Sell Price = best ask × (1 + percent_INCREASE_ASK/100) + 0.00001 Place & Cancel Orders* Cancel any remaining open orders. If your balance meets the thresholds, the bot sends new custom-JSON orders for both buy and sell. Log & Persist *Important Note about canceling orders. Holding BEED is optional, but is necessary at times for cancelling all stale orders if they stack up. Since the latest Hive-Engine multi block update which charges a BEED fee for multiple orders in the same block the order canceling function may not cancel all stale orders if you don't have any BEED.  This hasn't actually been an issue for me and I almost think it works better not cancelling all orders and letting some hang out while the bot cancels some and sets new ones, therefore I haven't separated the cancel order function to separate blocks just yet because i'm still debating on the best route to take with this respect. I probably will do some fine tuning soon, maybe have the bot only delete a percentage of the open orders, still deciding. The bottom line is that the bot will work fine without any BEED as is, any extra orders will just not execute, but sufficient orders should cancel out eventually. If you do have an order stacking issue just add some BEED to your account and all orders will clear out, or let me know and we can update the bot. The bot is for the community so I will take all community feedback with open arms. ### NOTE: you do not need to hold BEED, but if you do the bot will spend them, so be aware. After receiving user feedback I will decide to update the bot to always do each order in a new block. I also want to test the two versions in parallel first to see exactly what the difference is before making any changes. # ✨ Key Features Token-Precision Aware: HEMM automatically queries each token’s precision from the Hive-Engine tokens table, so you never send malformed quantities. Extensible & Future-Proof: The same framework can soon power ROI calculations, dynamic spread-tuning, and cross-token strategies. ### All in all this is a really cool bot and i've been testing it out for months now, and I'm happy to be able to finally share it with the Hive-Engine community. I find it useful to run multiple bots at once, with multiple accounts too, in order to really cover all my bases. You will have to experiment with it yourself to find out how this tool can benefit you, because everyone has their own prerogative when it comes to trading their tokens. With HEMM in your toolkit, you can effortlessly provide liquidity, earn spreads, dca, buy, sell, and leave the heavy lifting to your bot.
