The word of God doesn't come forth except to accomplish a purpose and never returns until it has produced its intended results. There is a unique power that the word of God produces that many people don't know. When the Lord explained the power behind his word to Isaiah, He said it's like rain and snow which falls for the purposes of bringing forth and bud.
http://www.mrbc.us/images/Slide1.jpg
[Source](http://www.mrbc.us/images/Slide1.jpg) The word of God to produces results ---- >For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, But water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower, And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11 This means that the word of God produces effective results. God's word carries power capable of doing what God says it should do in your life. Ignorance has made many Christians ignore the power inherent in God's word.
HOW TO ACTIVATE THE POWER OF THE WORD
--- Many people want results but do not believe the word, they take the word not serious and that is the reason for their lack of results. Receive the word -- For the power of God's word to be made manifest in your life you must first receive the word. How do you receive the word? You receive the word by listening to word and allowing the spirit of God direct it into your heart. http://www.oconeeheights.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/hearing-Gods-voice.jpg[Source](http://www.oconeeheights.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/hearing-Gods-voice.jpg) Jesus came, so that those that he was sent to might believe in him to get results but they did not. It was rather those that received him and believed in him who got results. >He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. John 1:10-12 They despise him in his own town and among his own people and this is why they had fewer results(miracles). When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?” So they were offended at Him.But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief Mathew 13:54-58 The bible will be just a book if we do not have faith if what it says. Act On The Word After Receiving --- Faith comes to you as you keep on hearing the word over and over. For the word of God says: faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Now that you have faith in God's word you must act upon it or do what it says and the results will follow. Power of God is manifested the moment you act upon it by faith. You cannot profess to have received the word and not act upon it neither can you say you have faith and sit down expecting the miracle you need to happen automatically. You must act by faith, you must speak forth what you believe. >For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. Hebrews 4:2 https://www.canyonhillsfriends.org/wp-content/uploads/Just-Do-It-Series-1024x576.jpg[Source](https://www.canyonhillsfriends.org/wp-content/uploads/Just-Do-It-Series-1024x576.jpg) ***The word gave Peter results, after believing it*** All this while Peter was at the sea shore when Jesus was preaching to the multitude. He had listened to the sermons. He knew Jesus words carried power and this is why he told him: nevertheless at your word, I will let down my net. He had faith in the word. It didn't end there, he got into his boat and did exactly what the word says he should and the miraculous happened. >So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. 3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking Luke 5:1-6 ***Blind man receives his sight after believing the word and acting upon it*** Blind man who has never seen Jesus before heard about him, for he has made inquiries to find out who Jesus was. He received the words about Jesus and had faith in him. He wanted to see but never sat down. He acted upon his faith, called on Jesus and was heard. His faith made him whole. Believing is indeed seeing. >Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, saying, “What do you want Me to do for you? He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight. Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. Luke 18:34-43 There is a great power available to us in God's word that perhaps many haven't tap into. If only we can receive the word we will build a strong faith and if only we can act on our faith we can activate the power of God's word.
G O D * B L E S S * Y O U * T O D A Y
----- -----
This is @collinz from Steemchurch Ghana
----
