I shared in the last post about a guy who got his girlfriend pregnant even though they are family friends and both parents approved of their relationship. The guy accepted the pregnancy but he needed to know how to go about the whole thing, which indicates he is obviously disappointed and sad on how things turn out.

First thing first, we all make mistakes and the only difference in it is the extent by which it varies. Some mistakes are obvious immediately and some take later to manifest and in this case, it will take 9 months for this one to manifest.

Even though they both love each other and the parents are confident about the two of them marrying each other, this mistake wasn’t planned for. I am sure both parents weren’t planning to be grandparents so soon and this has altered not only the plans of the children but that of the parents too, who must have had quite a high expectation of the two children and what has been laid ahead for them. Maturity to some extent has come quite early for these two children.

I am glad to some extent that this guy turned up. Some would run away or con the lady into aborting the pregnancy. He didn’t do this which shows that he has some level of decency, at least. That is a good sense of character that would stand him in good stead with the lady’s family. If he encouraged her to abort it and things went so smooth without complications, would they have known? No, they wouldn’t have known.

I have a lady around me that once had an abortion and I was the only that knows and even till date her parent didn’t know. She told me years after she had it after I recently met her and was asking her about her life in general. She felt confident to trust me with such information and I would never share those details with anyone or who she is. Such could have been the case with this young man but he owned up to his responsibility and that is a true test of his character.
