Sensitive body

The body is the "general instrument of the understanding of the world," said Merleau-Ponty. So the world, to the body, is offered through the function of the senses. There is nothing in the spirit (consciousness) that has not first passed through the senses. Thus, the individual in each participation of his environment and life circumstances, lead him to acts that are forming the fabric of his existence. Even the imperceptible ones, which always compromise the interfaces of the body.

Thus, the body is an inexhaustible matterof social practices, representations and imaginaries ... From body techniques, to expressions of effectiveness, from sensory perceptions to the senses, from ways of presenting oneself, to ways of assuming health or illness. Creating a unique individual.

The physical and organic presence of the body goes beyond what we are used to seeing and feeling. David Le Breton in his search to express a dimension of human corporeality, from symbolic interactionism and phenomenology, presents a vision linked to the relationship of the body with sensitive and significant experiences of the individual in the world.

Taking into account each person individually and collectively will consider the different body works, as a whole, without separation of body and mind. Resorting to this for a better understanding of the body when it comes to acting, perceiving and feeling.

Then all bodily expression is born beyond the body-mind, and becomes body-mind-spirit. In the experimentation of the dance we manage to enter the different dimensions of the human being.

Dance is a natural expression of human feeling (Castañar 2000), which by not being limited to the biological dimension alone, nor to a code or regulation, allows the use of bodily actions that can be used for learning and skill development (Fuentes 2006). Thus, psychomotor skills involve sensory, motor and intellectual structures (Bucher, 1976). That is why talking about corporeality is talking about different aspects of life.

Dancing is a sensitive experience, of a thinking and conscious body, both for its emotional intensity, as well as for the aesthetic impact, which merge. It is the possibility of feeling, of manifesting that which is felt in the deepest part of each individual

When we take into account all of the above, the construction of the subject in the dance summons bodily perceptions, from the perception of others and from self-perception, almost from self-perception and from the experience of the meaning of the practice of life.
