My family was at home for Christmas when I was eight years old. We never celebrated Christmas, but we enjoyed drinking peppermint hot chocolate simply to get into the spirit. I ran up to the window and just gazed out for some reason. 

On the street, I noticed a man staring into our window. He smiled when he saw me and showed off a lost set of teeth. I informed my father that I felt spooked out and closed the blinds. My father approached the window and looked out.

He noticed the man as well, and he shut the blinds and locked the door behind him. I'm not sure what my father said, but my mother nodded earnestly, and we made sure the door was locked. My father answered the door when we heard a knock. We couldn't see what he was seeing, but we could hear what he was saying.

"Don’t you remember me?"

My dad slammed the door shut, and he panted. Turns out, my neighbors also heard him and saw him. One of them saw the man follow her near her house and asked her

"Can I get food?" She locked the door after she entered. A few days later, my dad admitted, that he saw something behind his back. My dad had a really bad feeling, so he closed it. As word got around, he was also mentally sick.
