Hello Hivers and Beer lovers

I hope your weekend is going great. Today I'm going to share my impressions of a brewery we visited a couple of weeks ago, named **Cervecería La Esquina**. It translates as The Corner Brewery.

So let's have a few beers on this #BeerSaturday. 

This brewery is in [the town of El Hatillo](https://peakd.com/hive-155530/@coquicoin/a-walk-in-el-hatillo), in Caracas, where there are several options for craft beer.  A few weeks ago, my first post in this community was about [another of these breweries](https://peakd.com/hive-187719/@coquicoin/a-beer-at-norte-del-sur).

Cervecería La Esquina is so named because each of the beers they brew there is named after a corner in the city center. The corners in downtown Caracas have names.

If you are undecided about the type of beer you want to drink or if you want to try all the beers they brew. They offer a tasting service so you can try them all. We choose to order one of these services first.

We were served 8 different types of beer, one of which was a special edition IPA that was not labeled.

And they served them in a kind of order, from the lightest and less bitter, starting with a non-alcoholic beer called **Las Monjas** to the most robust, very dark, with a coffee and dark chocolate aroma and strong bitter tasting called **Marrón**. And although I am addicted to both coffee and chocolate, I must say that this particular beer did not convince me. It was too bitter for my taste, and the taste of coffee didn't seem to suit it very well.

On the other hand, I loved the Red Ale they served us, called **Peligro**, with a slight caramel flavor, a bit bitter, and full-bodied beer. My husband and I opted to order this strong red ale beer, while my son decided to order the **Madrices** beer, a Brut IPA with a citrus fruit aroma and the highest alcohol content of the beers on offer, 9.2%.

In the next round, unlike my husband, who stuck to the red ale, I ordered the IPA called Gradillas, which I also liked a lot, with citrusy aromas of passion fruit and grapefruit. 

With the beers, we ordered a portion of tequeños which always go great with beers. In this place were not the traditional ones filled with cheese, but filled with cheese and chistorras. But what we liked the most were the panzerotti, a kind of mini calzones. We ordered a combined portion where half was filled with mozzarella, tomato, and basil, and the other half was filled with cheese and pepperoni.

The place has a super nice atmosphere, and that night they had a blues band live. So we'll definitely be back when the opportunity arises.
