<center><b>I have highly been enjoying <a href="https://sorare.com/r/costanzabets">Sorare.com</a> and now also incuded Rare cards for this 2nd Season that I'm playing. Each Wednesday I'm making an update post on what's going on in the ecosystem and how I'm doing personally.</b></center>

<p>One of the things I have written about for quite some time now is the extreme high returns and unsustainable rewards in Sorare expecting a change sooner than later. Today the 2024 Roadmap was released in order to handle these issues. The entire article can be found <a href="https://sorare.com/blog/sorare-pro-2024-your-journey-rewarded">here</a>. </p>


To summarize it shortly, pretty much most of the utility of the cards will get shifted to the new season cards from 2024-2025 season going forward. Leagues will be split between old card leagues where cards from the new season can be won and new cards leagues where cash prizes can be won. Basically what all play2earn game come down to is that x amount of money comes in while devs/investors take their part for profit and advertisement while what remains is spread between players meaning it's hard to get out more than what you put in (unless exponential more new players to come in).

While I fully understand the changes knowing something like this was coming, it also kind of crushes the hope for cards to increase in value over time which is the main downside for me. Basically now it's similar to Splinterlands where all the utility is pushed to new cards and during their run, you need to try to make back from rewards what you are bound to lose in card value.

The Threshold will from next week until August also will be nerfed as you need to make a choice between different thresholds with much lower rewards (2$ instead of 5$ and 15$ instead of 50$) when choosing the lowest option which is easier achievable compared to before.

<b>Expectations</b>: I fully expect card prices to continue going down from here on out since their utility will totally be stripped. Many simply will be looking to sell while the utility for picking up cards just will go down. The entire game pretty much was reset which most of all screws the older players who paid a lot for Star Unique cards.

<b>My Solution</b>: I wouldn't have done things differently simply requiring players to hold enough card value based on a point system to be able to earn cash prices from the threshold. This with the new season cards counting 3x-5x the value just to make them more desirable. This along with upping the threshold to 300 points which is still very reasonable. This would have increased the demand for cards while making it really hard for players to earn without a reasonable investment. All the other leagues wouldn't have these requirements as it's hard to win without the best players. A bonus collection increase could be gotten from actually buying and selling which generates fees/revenue for sorare which even could be upped from 5% to 6% no longer allowing free swaps.

<b>Final Thoughts</b>: I'm not upset or affected too much by the changes mainly because I anticipated that nefs were coming. My main disappointment is that the dream of increasing card prices pretty much is gone since only the new cards will have the most utility. I will continue to play the game even though most likely trying to sell now is the option with the most expected value. I won't try to do that though and will just keep playing the game without buying more cards at the moment.

<b><h3>Rare Cap 240 Team:</h3></b>I did get a bit burned out by Sorare in the past weeks just because so many of my players are out or gone on international duty. I haven't updated the card prices yet but for sure prices will be down.

Not good enough this week across the board as I was unwilling to buy new players to replace those who were not playing and overall performances also were not good enough across the board.
