A team of researchers claims to have used artificial intelligence to recreate images from the human brain. The research by the specialists at the University of Kyoto, Japan, presents a series of images recreated by artificial intelligence. According to IFL Science, functional magnetic resonance imaging has been used in the research to reconstruct images in the human brain. Neural Network (DNN) recreated pixel with pixel image. '' The results suggest that hierarchical visual information can be combined with efficiency to reconstruct the subjective image, '' notes the team. The research is based on a previous study by the same team, in which it was discovered that the pattern of brain activity could be decoded in signals. "It is a significant improvement," said Professor Geraint Rees, an imagistic expert at the University College London. In the last study, the specialists used three subjects (two men and one woman). They have been shown pictures of things like a mailbox or a lion, as well as geometric shapes. Subsequently, they were subjected to multiple scanning sessions that lasted 2 hours for 10 months. In the second experiment, they were only forced to remember the picture. With the help of DNN, researchers decoded the magnetic resonance magnetic resonance recording signals to reconstruct the image seen by the participants. source:descopera.ro
