Hey everyone, not too many folks pay too much attention to the 'micro world' I do, the magical world of insects that contribute more to society and life on Earth than people ever know or realize. The other day I was having a chat on a Facebook group regarding bugs on vegetables... The one commenter asked what the best way to keep bugs off their prized vegetables is? Everyone sadly jumped on the proverbial 'poison' bandwagon. My strategy is much greener and Earth/Creature friendly..  Just plant more food that way there is enough for everyone? What also does help however are these magic little guys, they are the killer of aphids, not that I have too many aphids around my vegetables which I am really lucky with but in the event there are some, aphids are to ladybugs what Mcdonald's are to humans, just healthier ;)   These gorgeous creatures come in an array of sizes and colours and I truly enjoy photographing them whenever I get the privilege of spotting them on my vegetables!  The general rule of thumb is that vegetables that are weak or compromised tend to get disease and aphids, the healthier you keep them the better off they do, this is a holistic natural approach in synergy with nature, which I totally subscribe to and love.    This I recently pictured in my vegetable garden on the loose leaf lettuce! I have a magic vegetable garden comprising of everything from kale to lettuce, multicoloured carrots, purple sprouting broccoli, celery, chinese cabbage and more.
