# What is Conclave Arcana?

> The game Splinterlands is card-based, meaning it's a deck of cards that each player has at their disposal to battle. From time to time, a new card collection is released, changing the entire game dynamic.

That's what happened in May 2025 when the new card collection called **Conclave Arcana** was launched. I bought some card packs to try out the new features, and this post shows how we can use these cards in battles, aiming to win rewards in this #Splinterlands #play2earn game!

# Announced Disaster

I carefully drafted a post. I followed the guided missions, noted tips, and gathered all rewards received from the game's entry tutorial. Unfortunately, I did it on the demonic interface *InLeo*, which erased my draft. We have a love-hate relationship, me and *InLeo*. It's not the first time this happened, and likely not the last.

For this reason, I’m improvising, in a hurry, a post about battles!

# Battle Analysis

The first thing we need to analyze is the ruleset applied in the specific match. This is important to predict the opponent’s team and be prepared for the presented scenario.

In this case, we have a standard battle, with only splinter restrictions. I have kept one summoner per splinter so I don’t worry about being **without summoner cards** as happened last season. That was very disappointing!

Using the *Dragon* summoner gives me access to extra cards and allows me to improve my performance. I choose the *Life* splinter to complement my team, making mixed use of decks, selecting the best I have available.

At the frontline I bring **Skyspire Leopard** with balanced health, armor, and attack. He is boosted by the next card, **Janni Rebel**, who increases melee attackers’ strength and deals two points of magic damage! **Frigid Wolf** is a good choice when we have little mana available. **Olivia of the Brook** is a must-have card whenever possible, as it can turn the game with its ability to capture enemy skills! Lastly, we have **Caravan Guard** with backline healing ability. Always a solid choice!

The opponent comes with the **Life** splinter, so we see mirrored cards in both teams. This is interesting when we have an evolved deck, which is not my case since I’m still buying cards weekly!

My pack purchasing speed isn’t sufficient to evolve the *Conclave Arcana* cards, and my best card is still only level 2.

The final blow happens in Round 4

It’s exactly the praised card, **Meriput Magician**, who receives the final blow and brings the opponent to defeat. It was a quick match in Bronze League 1, close to Silver League, where I’m reestablishing after the end of the season.

I need to buy more *Conclave Arcana* packs this week and plan to post the opening with you all to analyze the received cards and potential upgrades to my account. The only way to stay competitive is to keep upgrading, and for that, the path is **buying Conclave Arcana packs!**

  # O que é Conclave Arcana?  
    
  > O jogo Splinterlands é baseado em cards, ou seja, um baralho de cards que cada jogador tem a disposição para jogar as batalhas. A cada tempo, uma nova coleção de cards é lançada, fazendo com que toda a dinâmica do jogo mude.   
    
  Foi isso que aconteceu em Maio de 2025 quando foi lançada a nova coleção de cards chamada **Conclave Arcana**. Eu comprei alguns packs de cards para poder experimentar as novidades, e esta postagem mostra como podemos usar esses cards em batalhas, visando ganhar as recompensas desse jogo #Splinterlands que é #play2earn!

# Desastre anunciado

Eu preparei um rascunho para esta publicação com muito carinho. Realizei as missões guiadas, anotei dicas e reuni todas as recompensas recebidas por seguir o tutorial de entrada do jogo. Infelizmente realizei isso na interface demoníaca *InLeo* que deu fim no meu rascunho. Vivemos uma relação de amor e ódio, eu e a *InLeo*. Não é a primeira vez que isso acontece, e nem deve ser a última.

Por este motivo estou improvisando, com muita pressa, uma postagem sobre batalhas!

# Análise de batalha
  

A primeira coisa que precisamos analisar é o ruleset que ser aplica na partida em questão. Isso é importante para poder prever a equipe do adversário e estar preparado para o cenário que se apresenta.

Neste caso teremos uma batalha padrão, com apenas restrição nos splinters. Eu tenho mantido um invocador para cada splinter então não me preocupo em ficar **sem cards invocadores** como já aconteceu na temporada passada. Isso é muito decepcionante!

Usando o invocador *Dragon* eu tenho acesso a cards extras e assim posso melhorar meu desempenho. Escolho o splinter *Life* para complementar minha equipe e assim faço um uso misto dos baralhos, escolhendo o melhor que tenho a disposição.

Na linha de frente levo **Skyspire Leopard** com pontos de vida, escudos e ataque equilibrados. Ele vai ser potencializado pela habilidade do próximo card, **Janni Rebel** que aumenta a força dos atacantes melee, além de causar um dano mágico de dois pontos! **Frigid Wolf** é uma boa solução para quando temos poucos pontos de mana disponível. **Olivia of the Brook** é um card obrigatório sempre que possível pois pode virar o jogo com sua captura de habilidades do adversário! E por último temos **Caravan Guard** com habilidade de cura de retaguarda. Sempre uma boa escolha!

O adversário vem com splinter **Life** então vemos cards espelhados nas duas equipes. Isso é interessante quando temos baralho evoluído, e não é o meu caso que ainda estou comprando cards semanalmente!

A minha velocidade de compra de packs não é tão suficiente a ponto de evoluir os cards do *Conclave Arcana* sendo que meu melhor card ainda é level 2 apenas.

O golpe final acontece no Round 4

É justamente o card elogiado, **Meriput Magician**, quem recebe o golpe final e leva o adversário para derrota. Foi uma partida rápida que ocorreu na liga Bronze 1 próximo da liga Prata, onde estou me reestabelecendo após o final da temporada. 

Eu preciso comprar mais packs *Conclave Arcana* nesta semana e pretendo publicar a abertura com vocês, para analisar os cards recebidos e os eventuais upgrades da minha conta. A única maneira de continuar competitivo é fazendo upgrade, e para isso o caminho é **comprar packs Conclave Arcana!**
