Gone

The dying seconds of midnight burst stars and my tears are lit up like lightning dripping silver glycerine. I am already tearing deep furrows of terraces in my skin as I clamber to dispel another misdirection. Only staring at the water shimmering neon signs and streetlights open up the door and pour on that thick diesel. The river again, I thought we were going away. Dangerous patterns begin to merge with hidden agendas. I can feel the heat swift catch the glow of orange on their faces. Totally discrete I do not understand no burning. Golden honey shoots bright demons to the stars. Glowing embers dance volcanoes around me. Black smoke hangs low. A smear on the purple sky. I am holding, hugging, sitting, standing the heat and my heart and my watering eyes. Wondering why? Oh why? Oh why, is my house on fire? ---------------------------- Thank you for reading - original poetry by CRWhite www.crease.weebly.com/blog
