Hello there. Shenzhen is an interesting city to live in. At one time the fastest growing in the world. It was founded only in 1979, has an official population of 11 million, but closer to 20 million if you include commuters and migrant workers. It's mostly modern, with some older villages sprinkled about, and some of the world's most modern skyscrapers. It's spacious with many parks and a lot of green space. It's on the coast, it's got great weather. Anyway, here are some of my recent, interesting pictures from around town.

^almost Chinese New Year, gotta get your red stuff!

^A street near the children's palace. A lot of tree lined streets in sz.

^Our table after all you can eat/all you can drink teppanyaki. Believe me they'd already taken just as many empty plates as the ones still there. The rest of the night was trouble.

^Some typical Shenzhen skyscrapers. ^...

^Deep in thought with the chess meetup group. That's it. Thanks folks, The End :-)
