0.000 HBDDolphin Status Obtained!
Hi Everyone, This week I reached Dolphin Status! It means @crypticat now has more than 5000 SP powered up. Most of it was purchased through [Binance](https://www.binance.com/?ref=179323) although a few hundred has been obtained from your support which I thank you for. Having been on Steem for almost a year now, I realized just like any other platform, it requires an investment to get things moving. You can put in time creating quality blogs, spend time curating and networking, program DApps, trade, hustle or exchange other cryptos for Steem.

The best way to quickly obtain Steem is to exchange other Cryptocurrencies for it. Building up a following and getting upvotes takes a lot of dedication; the best way to get a head start is with your wallet. I've tried to avoid arguing with some people who believe Steem should be distributed on a more fair basis but this is not how marketplaces work. Even initiatives like @steembasicincome require an investment. The very fact that almost anyone, anywhere with internet, can set up a Steemit account and gather Steem makes it fairer than most financial systems.
 [source](https://steemitboard.com/board.html?user=Crypticat)
## What's so Special About Being a Dolphin?
The witness @archange regularly collects statistics and blogs about them [here](https://steemit.com/statistics/@arcange/steem-statistics-20190223-en) as you can see there are less than 2000 Dolphins or about 2% of Steemians. Orcas, those above 50k Steem are even rarer and there are only 36 whales or accounts with more than 500k Steem and most are inactive. The point I am trying to make here is that dolphins matter. I've noticed that as other investors and serious content creators here see my dedication in terms of SP they tend to engage more. Unless your content is exceptional or you are posting quality content no one who is invested will take an account with less than 500 Steem in it (the basic requirement to be a minnow) very seriously. With that being said, I am going to make an effort to post and curate more. There are a few initiatives and communities I've joined the past weekend that I'll talk about later which should help. I've also stopped buying Steem and will see how quickly my account can grow organically. I am going to stop upvoting myself and use my upvotes on people who follow me and upvote my work. If you know of any good bloggers, content creators or communities, please let me know. Thank you for following, upvoting and re-steeming. Regards, Crypticat
