I've stopped playing, gambling, mining, whatever you want to call it on magic-dice. I am over it. What was great in the past has now been taken over by new gaming sites. I stopped playing after they cut the rate of mining the tokens per Steem wagered from 25 to 12.5. Now it is just too low and there are too many other sites and tokens out there to make it worth the risk.

## What Was so Good About Magic-Dice?

1. Magic-Dice has paid 262711.210 STEEM (at the time of this post) in dividends since it came into operation. That is literally half a whale's worth. They had first movers advantage and now that there are more tokens out, the dividend per token held is significantly less than they were at its peak. Yes, I believe it has peaked.

2. Magic-Dice allows you to bet over or under a number while most other sites are just under. Big deal. It doesn't really make a difference if numbers are random as the site claims it to be.

3. Volume, the volume was huge and the daily leaderboard attracts people and bots to play as much as possible to get more tokens. I once came in second place after taking advantage of a 16-hour crash where no one could play so it was easier to rank.

## Magic-Dice is Not Fun

Let's face it, you're just clicking buttons and probably losing Steem. Before you think I am better and lost Steem, check the comments below, I will use summon a bot to prove that Magic-Dice has been good to me. Crypticat brings us good fortune. There are more fun games out there with better graphics that are more interactive. There are also better Steem gaming sites like [Krypto Gamers](https://kryptogamers.com/?ref=crypticat) which has better odds, less outstanding tokens and it offers Video Poker and Blackjack in addition to dice. The house take is only 1% on dice as opposed to 2%, meaning your odds are significantly better. [Epicdice](https://epicdice.io/?ref=crypticat) also has a 1% house take and even less outstanding tokens-there is still an opportunity to be an early adapter as just over 2.056% of the tokens have been minted.

## Other Sites are Better

I have similar amounts of MagicDice tokens and EpicDice Tokens. I have less Krypto Gamers tokens. Now that Epicdice and Krypto Gamers have started paying dividends, the payouts have been great (when the house is winning.) I have received over 40 Steem from Epicdice in dividends and they only started paying a week ago. That is similar to what I've got the past month from Magicdice. Magicdice does pay every day despite the house rake, but still, the house will win in the long-run and most days dividends will be paid. I challenge you to argue the math with me, I will get into it with a future post when we have more data.
