LIVE FISH IN THE POST
I think the postmans arrival has got to be one of the most exciting things in life at times. Especially when your waiting on some rare breeding fish that cost a lot of £££££!

Today for £15 postage arrived my breeding project. My newly established tank is ready to home and mature my dwarf chiclids. I decided to pay extra on a special breed of Apistogramma Assizzi Fire Reds that have only existed since around 2013. Once a stonking price of $100 I managed to pick these up for about £25 for a breeding pair because I know the guy and I also picked up some of his Moscow Blue Guppies. Merh to Guppies but these are special and the story behind them is interesting. Supposedly a Russian guy smuggled them into America and they sold for huge amounts almost unbelievable. They got the name Moscow Guppy but if that's wrong please tell me because it's been said to me before by a couple of breeders.

Realistically my tank produces a lot of money. Although I'm just setting up again I've done this before. All I've done now is got an easier, larger and better set up for what I was aiming to do. This tank will produce rare dwarf cichlids rare Moscow Guppies the common pentazona community barb most likely my ember tetras if I can be arsed and continuously produce a ton of plants. I propagate plants and I grow drift wood and rocks with certain plants. I do this to generate more money. A piece of drift wood for £10 is worth £30/40 when it's fully covered in moss and other plants red green etc. I could probably make £1000 in the first 6 months aslong as I look after my Apistogrammas.

I know it's a little bit nerving buying fish on the internet but these are the first batch of babies from a pair imported from Japan. So the male I own came from one pair and the female came from another pair to ofcourse avoid inbreeding and have bad babies. These fish do not exist in the wild!

Genetic breeding by humans!

So they came all safe and sound and I want to get them asap into the tank into clean water and away from this horrible water they are in for around 18 hours. As you can see well packaged. Little heat pads were included for safety.

Acclimatising the fish after travelling to the correct temperature as my own tank. After around 45 mins I decided to release them into the tank. So far I could only get a few good images. They have settled in fine and will be breeding in no time!

Very pleased with the fish and very pleased with the colours the Fire Red produces! Just incredible for a tropical fish.
