 Believe it or not, Bitcoin is not the only crypto! There are thousands of alternate crypto coins similar to Bitcoin, each with unique features, functionalities, and goals. This is the collective name - "alt coins", an abbreviation of "alternative coin". As a whole, the other people work very much like a Bitcoin. However, there may be some small (and not so small) differences between the different "coins". Below is a list of the most important facts about other people: Bitcoin is, for now, the most popular and widespread crypto-wave. As a result, the Bitcoin market is extremely competitive and it is harder and more expensive for beginners and amateurs to get to it. There are several other unique algorithms that use a variety of specialized hashing algorithms such as X11, X13, X15, QUARK, NIST5, and 100% POS. The most popular alt coins are, of course, those we find after Bitcoin when we open the world rankings, where they are ranked in total market value (capitalization). Bitcoin is not perfect! The system is powerfully designed, but it is also the first widely used crypto currencies. As such, it grows large, most people know it, but we begin to notice problems and challenges that were impossible to predict when it was created. Many alt coins have been developed precisely to address the problems that Bitcoin has encountered in its eight-year development. Alt coins can be fun and profitable investment! Investing in alt coins can be very similar to trading in securities - you can invest very small amounts in a comprehensive portfolio and you can choose the "coins" you think have the best chance of long-term success.
