When you know the crypto money flow chart and see Bitcoin already closing in on it's ATH of $69K there is a good reason to get excited even when you own no Bitcoin. You can almost smell the profits in the air because this is going to be massive for everyone who holds crypto.

## Altcoins more Profitable Than Bitcoin

This is rather an obvious statement and why I am happy to be in everything else and not Bitcoin. At some point I will most likely have some Bitcoin, but realistically for financial reasons there is no need for now.

Bitcoin sitting at over $60K is actually very good news for all altcoin investors because once Bitcoin reaches the new all time high's whenever that might be those investors that sell will reinvest into the altcoins multiplying their returns even more.

What is interesting to note is the profitable Bitcoin returns have been diminishing with every completed cycle. This is the common sense and obvious part because Bitcoin cannot continue at the same growth rate we saw previously in 2012 and 2016 because it is already holding significant vales. The more value Bitcoin holds the less x growth it can achieve.

Altcoins on the other hand have not done the number of cycles Bitcoin has and they are still early in their growth periods. In 2012 Bitcoin achieved 50 000% 1 year after the halving, 8500% 18 months after the halving in 2016 and 1000% 18 months after the halving in 2020.

These are still phenomenal numbers for investors when comparing to other assets available outside of crypto. Altcoins is where the profits are and why taking the time to identify the right projects is crucial to how successful you will be.

In the 2017/18 bull cycle Altcoins achieved a growth of 6000 x when looking at the entire altcoin market cap. In 2020/21 we saw that market cap increase by 2000% which was double that of Bitcoin on 1000%.

Bitcoin is being mined at a rate of 920 per day which will then be reduced to 460 daily once the halving happens around the 20th April next month. The demand will outstrip the supply and why we will see prices rising due to the supply and demand needs.

What we are seeing is 7 weeks from the halving and Bitcoin is already near it's ATH of $69K and looking at history repeating itself for 12-18 months after that who knows how high this price could go. The more the merrier for those in the altcoins because not only does the Bitcoin price influence those prices but the flow of capital from Bitcoin into alts will be far bigger than normal.

With the current crypto market cap on $2.33 trillion and the Bull cycle only getting started it is difficult to not see it reaching anywhere between 7 and 10 trillion this time around. In 2021 the market cap achieved $3 trillion and we are only 30% away from that figure already. Bitcoin on it's own theoretically could pass the $2 trillion market cap this time around and personally expect Bitcoin to smash that number. This is going to be a wild ride over the next 12-18 months and one we should all enjoy.
