### I do think Crypto is mainly about applying common sense so having a smaller portfolio with larger stakes is far better than having a bigger portfolio made up of smaller stakes. This is spreading yourself too thin and most likely wont accomplish your end goal.

I have never understood those in Crypto having 20 or more investments as I believe it dilutes your portfolio way too much. I have always thought that having less is more as your stake is bigger compared to having more and less if that makes sense. The bigger the stake the bigger the return and by having this you become established that much quicker.

I was all in on Hive for the first 4 years of my crypto journey and only once I felt comfortable enough did I start to branch out. Having a significant stake in Hive was the first priority and sometime this year that should be 100K Hive Power. Diversifying elsewhere was not an option for the first 4 years as you need to build your foundations brick by brick.

I have thought about the $20 stake per month method but that is just too slow and would much prefer to start ticking them off as soon as possible. The worry with this method is when the prices start to climb you wont achieve your goals and at least having a few achieved is far better than none. One investment could easily be worth $500K over the next few years and there is no way I will be afford to achieve that type of investment then.

At the beginning of last year I started with my first investment and that should be finished by the end of this year so a two year grind. This kind of shows how long crypto takes to become established as why have 10 or more investments if the numbers are not a decent size. Each of my investments outside of Hive will be anywhere between $5 - $10K each. I just don't see the point in having $1K as if it does a 10 x that is only $10K and not life changing.

Having 5 decent sized bags will most likely take anywhere between 7 and 10 years to achieve as just 1 would have taken 2. The next one is slightly cheaper in value so I expect that to take 12 months to reach the goal set. The beauty about staking is once you have reached the goal the stake just keeps growing so the bags are always growing no matter what.

I suppose why people have so many investments is they are not exactly sure which one is going to do well and they see this as a safety blanket. The scatter gun approach just seems so crazy as this has to be a bigger risk. The truth is if you have researched your investment thoroughly the having so many would be impossible to maintain. There is no way you can keep up to date on all fronts and is kind of like following the crowd. If you research and remain current there is no risks as you know where the value lies. If you have 5 investments and have done your homework then you should hit 5 out of 5 when the prices rise. Real use cases will make that happen and are not market related so one has to forget trends and market cycles.

The end goal I have is very simple and that is generating a passive income each month through the investments. It is not ideal knowing I would have been in crypto for nearly 6 years and only achieved one besides Hive. Having another 4 is the end goal and that is still pie in the sky as that is still another 5 years away or possibly longer. Hive taking so long to grow was the best thing that ever happened as it gives you the realistic time lines required.

Having less investments is always more in my book as there is no point in spreading yourself too thin. The thought is if you want to make big money then you need bigger stakes as stake makes stake. This is how Hive works and every other project that compounds rewards. The one thing for certain in crypto is that value is generated over time and there are very few short cuts unless you get lucky along the way.
