FUD vs. Hiding Your Head in the Sand

If there is a term that gets overused in the crypto community it is 'FUD'. I've taken part in many, many discussions, usually under tense market circumstances, where literally any type of critical statement is being dismissed as "spreading FUD". These hive-minded people are just waiting for problems to take care of themselves while they maintain a "positive vibe" to not affect the price.
So far my experience has been that the communities most sensitive to "FUD" are the communities most wrought with unsolved issues that systematically stack up until the entire project has lost all credibility and investor trust.

And then the same people hiding their head in the sand are the people who end up getting out with a loss. So, in sign of trouble, its best to find out as much as you possibly can and if clarification cannot be achieved it is safe to assume the project is rubbish, or even worse, a scam. One cannot be too cautious in the wild wild west of cryptocurrencies.
