 Hello everyone. I am looking for feedback on my new game (Arctica City). I am building it for Android and PC. Currently working on the Android mobile version. Current state - Alpha: Most of the main graphics are done on a basic level. Everything will be improved and much more stuff added but the general look and feel and building blocks are complete. Coding wise, the rendering system is complete and so is the basic combat mechanics and things like collision detection. I am building my own engine and not using any 3rd party libraries other than what comes with Android Studio. I am also creating all the in game graphics and sound. Marketing art and loading screen art I may use other resources but all the actual game graphics(environments, characters, UI etc) I am drawing myself. I am now working on the map and crafting system. Very soon I will release a playable alpha with basic combat, crafting and exploration. Screenshots and the basic design document are below:  Arctica City - Surviving the winter... Dust and snow storms have devastated civilization. Cities lie frozen and silent, buried beneath snowdrifts and ice. You are one of the last survivors. Survival Stats Cold -Counter with clothes, heat, or buildings Hunger -Scavenge or hunt for food (can result in death) Energy -Rest and hydration (affects speed and abilities) Weight -Manage your backpack (affects speed and energy) Encounters Wildlife Scavengers Drones NPCs (Story, Traders) Use combat or stealth to survive Scout areas using your own drone (requires recharging) Environment Procedurally generated large maps Objective: Resource collection (food, drinks, materials) Dynamic Events: Snowstorms can strike—find shelter fast Economy: Trade and barter with survivors Inside Buildings (seperate instances from street) Set any building you enter as a base and upgrade and decorate it Craft items or furniture Build interactive objects (computers, storage, crafting tables) Rest, recover, and stay safe from the cold Progression Difficulty -High Normal mode -Lose items Survival mode -Permanent death Endgame -Exploration, combat Missions -Dynamic Achivements -Deep progression and achievements system Development Engine -Custom development Soundtrack -A unique soundtrack composed for the game will be released for free Tools -Android Studio / Visual Studio / MS Paint / Gimp / Inkscape / FLStudio / Sound Forge For anyone interested this was the development of the concept below, designed in MS Paint edited in GIMP and final character models drawn in vector in Inkscape.
