https://s31.postimg.org/7glhfjlh7/Magic_8_Ball.jpg Bitcoin in the near term will decline, mostly from lots of scams being turned into BTC and then fiat. "Attackers" do not hold long term, they just support the market briefly and fleece noobs. The doubling of ETH into ETC is the most disastrous thing to hit cryptos since Mt Gox. You could blame it on the DAO, but in the end it was really the greed of people already filthy rich, making extra ICOs that served no legitimate need to exist. That is the truth. They didn't even plan it well. While Bitcoin will decline a bit, assuming I am right and these groups are cashing to BTC and then fiat now, I think Bitcoin might hold 600, and it will be a positive for BTC in the long run. Ethereum can never really challenge Bitcoin now, that is gone forever. Nor can Ethereum classic, as big business really doesn't like hackers and exploiters, that is terrifying, nor does small business, any business, or any government. This is speculation alone driven by pure manipulation and shady deals. I believe ETH will remain the dominant fork and rise in value some and perhaps maintain the second place as an Alt for many years, but again, it will never challenge Bitcoin now, this is a fatal blow and key devs will leave in time for greener pastures and less damaged projects. The marketcap should remain high, and major projects will still run ICOs on ETH to get the most dollars, but the hope of Ethereum overtaking Bitcoin is now hopeless. I am ok with that. Coinbase and others subject to the replay attack could also be in serious trouble, but the is difficult to determine now as there are lies being spread in the war between ETH and ETC, the replay attacks certainly put them at risk. Make sure not to hold your BTC on Coinbase to be safe. Move it to a local wallet, if you can't figure that out, then use Circle. We might see several major exchanges totally collapse soon, or not. There is not enough data yet to be certain either way. Lastly, this might be hope more than a prediction, but I hope that the disaster of ETH/ETC, and the new forks to fix the old forks, will keep this crap from happening to Bitcoin. I hope that no exchange will consider Bitcoin Classic, and I hope that everyone sane can join together and just say no to anything like Bitcoin Classic. If not, then everything some of us have been working on will come to nothing. Consensus matters, and if you think it doesn't if you are in the minority, you are the problem. #bitcoin #ethereum #eth #classic #steem #attacker
