The steem coin powers Steemit, a blockchain-related social media platform through which users generate and curate content. There is an elaborate voting system which rewards authors and curators, and steem tokens can be converted into dollar-linked steem dollars and steem power. But it's still nice to see that reputable websites such as investopedia.com are now covering cryptocurrencies and alt-coins. ## Steemit.com & d.tube are getting difficult to ignore Steemit currently ranks 1,156 most traffic website on the internet(and still rising daily) while d.tube is seeing a meteoric rise:  As more website have success like d.tube with the Steem blockchain model, the more this technology will spread through society. ## Conclusion Steem Power is where it's at baby! You shouldn't feel fringe or that we are taking a risk by powering up those sweet steems. Of course, this is just my opinion and not an investment advice.
