Today I wanted to share something that I thought is interesting, and that is the true age of Adam, compared to what is recorded in scriptures and what his age is in the way we tell time.

Through all man existence, eternal life has been promised to us in varies forms.

That will be great, who would not want to live forever, I know I would want to.

So as we have, and if you know scripture, it is written that it is our sin that has caused us to live much shorter than Adam and Eve did as written.

The questions I had was, What was Adams real age?

Is it really sin that decreased our life span or is it just natural and our forefathers and those in power has deliberately kept the age as it is stated in scripture to maintain the fantasy of everlasting life but has changed many other wordings to be more socially acceptable?

How I approached this was like this:

So I tried to think link ancient man that had way less knowledge and life and the world was completely unkown.
Looked at how the scriptures speak of and  what people followed to determine time and compare it to how we tell time now.

I found, which most know, is that unlike ancient civilizations, we follow the sun solstice but in ancient times followed the moon solstice.

So, okay, How will I use the moon to tell time?

The most obvious way was moon phases, and particularly, new moons or full moons would be the best way to count time.

Then I looked up, how many full moons or new moons there are in one year and I got the answer of 12 (Sometimes 13).

Then to find the age of Adam in the way we tell time, I took Adams age of 930 years and divided it by 12 (amount of full moons in one year).

The answer I got was 930/12= 77,5

So the real age of Adam when he died was roughly 77,5, give or take a year or two incase the year had 13 new moons instead of 12.


So if sin is what is decreasing our lifespan, then surely noone should live past 77,5 and we can see this is not the case as we have many people that live to up to over 100 years of age.

All this is just food for thought and in know way trying to attack Faith but it is the never ending journey to find and uphold the truth of what scriptures really mean and what is fact and what is deception.
