Recently, there was a news article about the tussle that took place between Ripple labs and Financial Crime Enforcement Agency (FINCEN) in 2015. According to that FINCEN had alleged that Ripple is selling their cryptocurrency without a legitimate licence. Accordingly, Ripple had paid a fine and FINCEN approved their selling it as a currency. Now, SEC cannot overrule this decision by FINCEN as different legal government departments are not legally allowed to overrule other department decisions. Since FINCEN had approved XRP as a currency, now SEC cannot suddenly overrule their decision and declare it a security. This should now officially be announced and all put to rest finally, so that we can all get back to business!
