I understand the concept of holding against fiat, but isnt that only for cryptocurrencies that have an actual "currency" status like bitcoin. For that, you can purchase goods and services like you do with fiat (in an ideal world), but with projects like SIA, GNT, XRP and many others, you can't really use it when you are a common person not involved with cloud storage, rendering or international bank transfers.
