In the crypto space especially, some projects will suddenly spike in value beyond an unbelievable level.

Solana is one recent example, which mooned from a range of $30 to an all-time high of beyond $200 within a short span of time.

If I don't have it, did I actually lose anything? Should I chase the pump and FOMO?

Probably not a good idea, generally.

In this world, there are many things that appreciate in value even without us knowing. For example, some collectible stamps, or NFTs, might have a greater spike beyond imagination. If we have bought it, we would have benefited from it by selling at its highest point. But we hardly feel that we have missed out on profiting from these sales because we don't have it. It is none of our business. Simply put.

So why should we FOMO into a project that had pumped?

Be patient and only invest in assets that you have faith in after doing due diligence.

Remember: If I don't have it, I didn't lose anything...
