Swift chose Hyperledger technology to test the cross-border blockade
Swift officially chose the Hyperledger Fabric code base for its largest blockhead project.

Representatives of BNP Paribas, BNY Mellon and Wells Fargo, as well as three other world financial institutions, took part in the experiment to simplify the management of bank accounts for northeast accounts intended for international transactions.

Not surprisingly, Swift has decided to use the Linux-based Hyperledger platform to implement its plans.
If PoC's concept of success is successful, Swimp's Global Investment Innovation (GPI) initiative leader, Wim Reimeksers, said it would help save up to 30% of the costs associated with international payments.

Other banks participating in the RoC include the Australian and New Zealand Banking Group, the Singapore Development Bank and RBC Royal Bank, are already working with Swift to develop global payment innovations. +

At the testing stage, another 20 institutions will join these partners.
In the course of the experiment, existing standards used by Swift members will be applied. The data stored in the blockade and API used to query and update these data conform to ISO 20022 Swift standards.

In the event of success, the PoC can be included in the GPI Swift solution.
