The CTP token was one of the first tokens that made the blockchain transition from steem to hive. It is therefore even older than this blockchain. It was often a token that was a bit underestimated and ignored by the big players. However, it's still there and doing pretty well. 

The owners of the token @jongolson and @blainjoines are doing a great job to add new use cases to the token and I would like to provide an overview here...

## CTPM the mining token
There is a mining token that creates CTP tokens. Every hour there are 20 Miners that are rewarded with around 1.2 CTP tokens.

## CTP: the little token that you can use
### CTPtalk.com front-end
Ctptalk is the front-end of the CTP tribe. When you stake CTP, you can upvote posts on this front-end and earn curation rewards. You can also create posts with the #CTP tag to earn CTP author rewards.

### Tipping with !CTP
If you have some CTP staked, there is a new tipping bot that you can use. You can use the command !CTP up to 10 times per day to give away CTP tokens. It's free for you to use as long as you have staked tokens.

### The magic of Listnerds
You can also stake CTP tokens on the website Listnerds. This will allow you to verify e-mails and get daily payments in CTP tokens. The more CTP you have staked, the more mails you can verify.

### Did you say Hivepay?
The CTP team also owns a project called Hivepay.io. It's a processor that allows to make payments in Hive and Hive-engine tokens. This payment processor can be introduced in shops and websites. For merchants that use this processor, by staking 50'000 CTP tokens they can reduce the fees of the processor by half. They will pay only 0.25% fees instead of 0.5%!

### The power of CTPSB
If you are among the 60 people with the highest CTP stake and you publish regularly posts with the CTP tag, you might get on the radar of the @ctpsb account. It is a community account that is owned by the token holders (CTPSB). The account has close to 45'000 Hive power to upvote posts and it's one of the biggest holders of CTP tokens. This account regularly buys CTP tokens and distributes them to the delegators of the project. This is one more advantage to have a big CTP stake!

It's quite nice to see how the team tries to implement new use cases for the token. With every additional use case, the demand for the token grows. What I find pretty interesting is that staking CTP brings not one but several advantages. When a stake has several purposes, I believe it makes people less willing to sell tokens even if prices are not that favorable for a time.
