Here are some Cows around a Farm Dam in Queensland ,Australia. The Cow with the hump on it's shoulders is showing a common trait of the Brahman Breed. The hump is mostly made up of tissue that stores water, which helps them survive in hot, arid conditions. The hump can be eaten as it is nutritious and high in protein although different from normal meat because it has a honeycomb like structure inside. It is very tender and soft meat. In the US it is highly regarded for a meal. The second lighter colored Cow is likely to have traits of the Charolais , a French breed. This Cow is quite fat and is doing well here, although she might not have had a calf as she is in too good a condition. In this case, we would refer to her a a "dry cow", suggesting she might be barren ( not able to get pregnant ). In this case , the Farm Manager will have to decide whether to keep or sell the animal. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qbZAXnuRdKI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Source ; https://youtu.be/qbZAXnuRdKI
