Comments from the Cat Perch: Time to Move On?
Hoomans and Cats alike are ensconced at home today, as part of a more or less voluntary community quarantine.

The world seems strangely quiet; panic giving way to resignation, or perhaps something else? The financial markets are a mess... the *"one-two"* punch of the massive oil price decline last week and the impact of COVID-19 pushing everything *"known*" out of the way.

The *"known ways"* have failed. We are in free-fall...

*Contemplating the world from my cat perch in the late afternoon sun...*

Meanwhile, the Steem/Steemit crisis continues.

It seems to have become a stalemate. A long drawn out *"war of attrition"* is good for nobody. Ultimately, *everyone* ends up a loser, regardless of whether you end up claiming victory, or not.

Around here, the state of uncertainty mostly hurts the greater *community* of contributors. We grow disgruntled and disinterested by the whole *"not knowing anything"* situation.

We *"Little Minnows"* don't have millions at stake here, but we *do* have the time and energy we have put into building a network of friends and followers at stake.

And I would really hate for that to go away!

Thus, even though it may entail risks of its own, I find myself in favor the sort of major move I read about in **@blocktrades'** post earlier today. It gives me hope that something *good* might still be salvaged out of this mess! I encourage you to **[go read the post](https://steempeak.com/steem/@blocktrades/why-i-won-t-be-compromising-with-justin-sun)!**

Time for us all to move on!
