Everyone in the crypto circle should already be aware that the mighty Ethereum chain is looking to transform itself from a POW chain into a POS chain! This has been prepared for such a long time that it doesn't seem real that it's actually coming! (oh well, still not 100% sure as anything in crypto can delay the wens as we have witnessed hundreds of times...)

As much as we all believe that this POS move should be a success, there are many out there that want ethereum to stay POW or just want to make some quick money or for many different reasons that they will create forks of this number one smart chain.

Basically, get all your Eths back to main chain before the merge or have them on an exchange that supports such airdrops. For me, I personally trust binance to do a decent job regarding this matter, so I will put my Eth on either one of them - chain or Binance.

The chain has to be the main chain, not the so-called layer-2 chains and you'd better keep them in Eth form rather in wrapped form just to be safe.

Not sure how much those tokens will be worth so do consider the gas fees needed to claim and move those airdrop tokens before you decide to expect them (in this light, Binance might be a better option if you don't have many Eths)

For us Cubbers or PolyCubbers, there are some farms involved with Eth, so you might want to evaluate if you want to leave the farm for a while or just keep the way it is. :)
