 <center>  </center> Amongst the trees engulfed by swirling mists reaching as if alive. Each swirl of mist a finger feeling its way along the landscape, penetrating every crevice as it masks all shapes except the mountain peak..... I am so freaking lost.... mist so thick it’s suffocating me.... Just keep moving... can’t tell what’s ahead... I fear more what may be following.... I hear something back there, not moving with any urgency but continuously on my heels. Pick a line, follow a land mark, use the sun, use the stars.... I can’t see far enough through the mist to use any of the survival skills I’ve learned... Just need some altitude, get to the mountain peak, get my bearings, Keep Moving! Almost there now.... Stepping out of the mists I realize this isn’t going to be as easy as I thought. Looking out over the mist covered landscape anything I could recognize is completely obscured..... I don’t know what direction to go in the slightest.... once I leave the mountain top I am likely to wander in circles aimlessly again... if I don’t move I will have to face what has been following me... This is as good a place as any... at least on the mountain peak I can see my opponent approaching.... Hiding I take a defensive position back to the mountain’s sheer cliff and a boulder in front of me... eyes fixed on the only path... Here it comes, breath so heavy the mists swirl from the heat... a rounded shape still obscured obviously lumbering along dragging something heavy... stepping into the sun dropping the load a tall man emerges stretching as if to soak up every last bit of sun.... “There You Are” he says, “Boy, been tracking you for miles heading the wrong way deeper and deeper into the jungle” picked up everything you dropped along the way. Deciding to avoid asking why he was tracking me I asked “How can you tell what direction is the right one?” Pointing towards the edge of the mountain “the mists always flow down hill towards water” he said then making a gesture as if being splashed in the face “when going against the mist you will feel it as a pressure against you but heading with it’s a force guiding you” Suddenly turning to the trail back down the mountain “Now, take your crap and get out of my jungle!” he says walking back into the mists out of sight.... As I pickup my gear his voice echoed all around me “Follow The Mists” shaking me to the core not being able to tell a direction I bolted only to hear his eerie voice turn to a full blown laugh...
