Hey there, I’m **Dajon**...  ...and I’m **really excited** about joining the steemit community! I’m 20 and I’m a student in my 3rd year at Harvard University studying Computational Neuroscience. I was very thrilled when my mom told me about steemit! Ever since I found out, I’ve been traveling down the rabbit hole of cryptocurrency. This seems like a great opportunity to explore the ever-exciting cryptoworld, to learn from you all and share my **perspective**. I think this is a time for _discovery_ for everyone and I am eager to begin this journey with you. A little more about me: I’m from South Florida, born and raised, and my family is from Jamaica. My father has never been a part of my life, it's mostly been my mom, my brother and me.  Since I was a kid, times have been tough... but I haven't let that deter me. I worked my ass off, got into Harvard and am in the process of **finding my place**, which I think is something we all face throughout our lives. Nevertheless, I am very thankful for the support from my family, teachers and friends and blessed to have been given the opportunities that I have to succeed. The dream doesn't end here... Apart from being a student, I write stories, poems and I make films. The ability to **create things**, to **make magic** has added a lot of meaning to my life and I believe that art and creativity are powerful instruments, ones we all use. Some of my favorite shows: the Leftovers, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, the Walking Dead, Stranger Things and LOST. Subjects of Interest (to name a few): Evolutionary Biology, Astronomy, Astrology (I'm a Leo), Cartography and New Media. I love words. I study neuroscience, but I'm incredibly fascinated by so many things and am always finding ways to connect them and push the boundaries for myself.... which is why I think it's so important to **tell your story** because there are no rules in the world of storytelling.
