I have been playing with some Uniswap data, trying to query some of it from the web. Its not a standard api url, but they do have some docs and examples and if you follow them you can get some of the data.

Here we will be looking at some of it.

We will be looking at:
-	Total value locked
-	Active Users/Wallets
-	WBTC-ETH Pair
-	ETH-USDT Pair
-	ETH-USDC Pair
-	ETH-DAI

The pairs above were incentivized by Uniswap, with UNI tokens on top of the fees and they are top pairs by trading volume and liquidity on the platform.

# Total value locked [TVL]


Here is the chart for the total value locked on the platform.

This chart is clearly showing when the UNI incentives started and when they ended. In the middle of September, the four pools above started receiving bonus UNI tokens for providing liquidity as incentives. The TVL jumped from 1B to 2B in days and kept on growing up, until the middle of November when the niceties ended. A drop to 1.5B from more than 3B, also in few days.

The chart above clearly shows that LPs wants incentives. A billions of dollars capital moving around just because of the incentives. 

It is expected the UNI protocol to start giving out incentives again at some point in the future and we will probably see an increase in the TVL again.

# Active Users [Wallets]

How about the number of users? Do they follow the drop like the one in the capital?

The two spikes happening on the chart above is when the UNI incentives for the pools started and when they ended. Obviously, a lot of wallets were making operation on these dates. In between we can see a slow drop in the number of active users. 

The record high in numbers of active wallets per days was just above 45k, and 20k on the low end. 


# WBTC-ETH

One of the most important trading pair in crypto and on Uniswap. Here are the charts for trading volume and liquidity.

Starting from the middle of September the trading volume has grown a lot, from under 1M to almost 40M per day. A second wave in volume growth to more than 60M per day afterwards. In the last days the volume has been around 10M.

When it comes to the liquidity for this pair, we can see that it really took of with the LPs incentives and went down when they ended. Waiting for a second round of those. 

# ETH - USDT
The chart for the Ethereum – Tether pair looks like this.

The trading volume on this pair is even higher than the WBTC-ETH. This is probably because ETH is the peg token for the platform and a there is lot ETH around. 
More than a 100M per day traded on few occasions. A 20M to 40M trading volume in the last days.

This chart follows the general trend on Uniswap liquidity. Up when the incentives were active and down afterwards.

# ETH – USDC

Another stablecoin in the top four, USDC.

Nice trading volume here as well with 20M to 40M in the last days.

# ETH – DAI

# Bonus WLEO

At the end the charts for WLEO. The trading volume.

The trading volume for WLEO has been high in the start, reaching a 40k USD per day. It has dropped afterwards but we are seeing some increase in the last days. 

Still when we compare this trading volume to the Hive Engine, it’s a lot bigger. 

**WLEO Liquidity**

The liquidity for WLEO has been steadily growing and its more than a 500k USD atm.

If we can conclude one thing from the above, is that incentives are incredibly important. As we can see there has been huge growth in liquidity on Uniswap when there were incentives for liquidity providers. When they ended a billion of dollars in capital were moved around. Will be interesting to see what will happen when new incentives are put in place, but the most outcome will be even more liquidity added to the platform.
