En esta oportunidad en un mural donde se refleja el desarrollo que ha tenido la industria petrolera, por todas las figuras que aparecen en este mural, es en la región nororiental, entre los estados Anzoátegui, Sucre y Monagas, pues en uno de los costados está el símbolo de la Universidad de Oriente y parte de la vegetación que se refleja en el mural, pertenece a esta región. La gente que se observa se encuentran laborando, las hay estudiando, con cascos de obreros, señalando hacia el sol, eso denota el desarrollo de nuestra industria petrolera, pues también en está se ven los taladros, las perforadoras, los martillos, con sus balancines, por dónde se extrae el oro negro, también se observa un sol naciente que indica que es el inicio y futuro de la Industria en estos estados. El oro negro ha sido un elemento trascendental en la historia económica de Venezuela, pues en el momento en que se comienza la explotación petrolera comienza a fluir dinero en las arcas del país, hasta este momento las ganancias por el oro negro no han sido bien distribuidas, inclusive en la región oriental muchos carecen de una economía estable, y a lo largo de los años se ha ido deteriorando la industria por falta de mantenimiento, planificación, personal calificado en la industria, después de haber sido uno de los primeros países productores de petróleo del mundo.
